Unable to refit battery cover

Hi guys

Jaguar had my Ftype for a while fixing a few things under warranty, got it back and the battery cover wasn't on, and I'm having trouble refitting it.

Could someone share with me a photo similar to mine? I'd like to see how this red cover actually goes on. Suspect I need to loosen the nut where the red cable is (for the battery conditioner) and push it to the side but don't have the tool to do so, and want to be sure I'm doing the right thing before buying one!

The conditioner should be connected to the positive bus bar in the rear fuse box. This is stopping the protective cover from snapping down into position.
You might get away with loosening it and rotating 90 deg, possibly.

I was hoping that was the case!

Not really sure why they needed to remove the cover as they weren't dong any work back there!

Maybe worth altering where you are taking the battery conditioner from, as Tel said it should be off the positive bus bar.
See my thread in technical, some correct fitting photos.
The red cover just clips on to the positive terminal then, I refitted mine yesterday.

Hello

I think someone has made a mistake with that installation .. worth following up with to make sure, as others have said goes against all the installation advice and current installation documents :?:
