(Un)Heated Steering wheel

I have the heated round steering wheel on my MY16 Coupe, only its not very warm, almost feels like my own hands are warming it up. Didn't think much of it until I was loaned an XE which had a really warm heated wheel and have had the same on previous Range Rover.<div><br></div><div>Dealer replaced the wheel with a new one yesterday and it is still lukewarm. I know its a first world problem but should it be like this? And if it should be hotter why did the new wheel not solve this I wonder?</div><div>Any one had a similar experience? Dealer is saying see if it improves and if not bring it back- they should have tested the new one against another F Type methinks... </div>

I have the heated wheel with a flat bottom, and have not used the heat function much.<div> </div><div>However the few times I have tried it, it did seem to warm up rather well - and I turned the heat off after just a few minutes.</div>

Does anyone know if the temp the wheel achieves is dependant on any sensors in or outside the car? I ask as this may impact the OP question. In the winter months it felt a lot hotter than it did the other weekend ... so maybe you won't feel the real benefit until winter returns??<br /><br />HTH, Rgds Paul

Agree with Arne<br /><br />My flat bottom heated wheel is a godsend in the UK, coming from someone that grew up for some time In Australia - meaning, I'm always cold!<br />Definitely wouldn't want to live without it, I love it! So it should be better than lukewarm!<br /><br />Re sensors- mine is always the same temp once warmed up, so can't see it being linked to a sensor?<edited><editID>SammyV6S</editID><editDate>2017-04-04 18:51:22</editDate></edited>
