I recently shot myself in the foot and thought I'd make my first forum post in case anyone else does the same!
So I have a 2014 V8r Coupe in Italian Racing Red and of course love it! I'm not so keen on the copper bits inside the cabin so I decided to change them. I bought a complete "Piano Black" gear lever console off a 2018 car and thought I'd put all the switches in (one of mine is sticky) as well as the Dynamic / snow selector. All went fine, I noticed the new Dynamic switch looked smaller on the 2018 model but, hey, it's just a switch. When complete my cabin looked great but none of my switches worked....must be something I've done!
Checked for fault codes with an Icarsoft LR3.0 and saw the following codes:
U0138-00 State: Permanent. Lost communication with all terrain control module
C105A-01 State: Permanent. Actuator Circuit - Group A
U0001-87 State: Intermittent. High speed CAN communication bus
U0001-88 State: Pending. High speed CAN communication bus
Turns out that the actuator off the Dynamic switch (with the copper bits on) will swap onto my old electrical part of the switch, same with the stcky buttons. So I put all the original electrical parts of the switches back on. Still the same faults. Looking at the wiring I figured Actuator group A was my switches (the Jaguar Switchpack) and the all terrain module possibly the Dynamic button? Both of these are supplied from fuse 13 in the passenger footwell (the inner wing one not the under floor one). Checked and the fuse had blown., I'm assuming incompatibility with one of the newer switches, replaced that and all in now o.k.
Hope this info helps someone else.
