Tyre inflation

Hi guys was just about to start a new post on tyre pressure and seen this thread, thought I would do a few checks today tyre pressure oil etc, on checking the rear tyres they were 51 psi, I am right in that they should be 37 psi on all tyres front and back and up to 41psi on rears if doing over 155mph lol, I have been driving around with massively over inflated rear tyres as I have presumed that the dealer I bought the car from would have checked them before driving the car 220 miles to deliver it. Just goes to show its wise to do your own checks.

My tyres also were well over-inflated when I picked up the car. I wonder if it's something dealers do to avoid low warnings in case of long time selling. Or maybe it was taken for a track day, not that high pressures are always better.

I check my pressures vai the menu system every time I drive the car - it's so easy there's really no excuse not to! ;)

If a car is left standing for months, inflating the tyres to 45+ psi stops them developing flat spots. Pretty good if this is what the dealer was doing, but I doubt many do this

I do miss the TPMS I had on my XE, my F-Type doesn't have it, though have to admit the first time I got a Low Pressure Warning on the XE I worried about flats as popping up as a warning was a new thing, but after a while I learnt to check them every so often on the dash display.

I have Tpms on my mazda the f type the wife's fiesta and the caravan, only the caravan Tpms gives a high pressure warning and high temperature warning as well as the low pressure warnings, are the Tpms on cars able to be configured to display these other readings to.

Thanks for the clarification guys.
Next up is i dont have the wheel lug adaptor.
Guess that is a dealer go to.
Thanks

Seen the dealer on wheel nuts, no adaptors but have offered to remove them and replace nuts for around 150 quid or replace them with jaguar logo ones for 300 quid.
