Thinking about upgrading to v8

Hi Simple, could I please get a check on a car i've seen floating around for a while that I may venture to see.. Although it looks like it has been for sale for almost a year!? Would you say that is something to be wary of?
Reg is LD17 YVB
Thank you!

It is car 47663, very limited service information but cannot lookup full details until I'm back at work on Monday.

Probably not a very cherished car that had worn tyre advisories on the MOT in December 2020 and continued to be driven for over 4k during 18 months before failing on illegal tyres in June 2022. All seemingly with a nail in the tyre..

Hi

Looking at a V8s reg OV13GXW anyone know the car?

Boney

Is car 204.
Not at work until tomorrow for full history.

Paragon Fleet Solutions and was used in TV programs and promotion activities across London. Such as.

Might of been one of the Top Gear cars for a program on the mall but not seen on TV.

I was I exactly your position earlier this year. Happy enough with my V6 but always wanted the V8. Finally found one (with the help of simpleR) at a Jaguar dealership. It was important I got the proper warranty.

Best decision I ever made. Got pre GPF 18 plate convertible. It sounds RIDICULOUS and has the updated navigation with Apple Car Play (which I found very useful in my 19 plate V6).

If you can make the finances work, definitely get one. You won’t regret it. I’d also suggest a convertible for the most exciting and involved experience…

I second that - the early loud convertibles are grin factories on demand, if that’s what you like.

I'll third that!

F-types are a bit like milk...

2.0L 4 cylinder - Red top, fully skimmed milk - an acquired taste like white water
V6S - Green top, semi skimmed - They say on telly this is the one you should drink as it's healthy, so most 'followers' do
V8 - Full fat - Gold top with holes in from the pesky birds...you know you're potentially gonna die at some point from the fat overload, but what a way to go!

Thanks guys appreciate the comments!
I still have my eye on a pre gpf 18 plate that Simple kindly checked out towards the start of this thread, but it all depends on how the sale of mine goes now. I am having to remind myself to be patient and to not just lower the price as I only listed it a few weeks ago lol!
I am still massively torn to swap mine in as it is the best car i've owned by far and had no issues (touch wood), but i'm sure the v8 upgrade wil only add to that!

So the V6 has been sold and I am now hunting for my V8 R :D

Simple, could I ask for some further details for two cars please? YW17 CRF and also NM19 EHF (I am wondering if this is pre gpf as it has the smaller screen with the previous infotainment system?). Thank you!

YW17CRF is car 48257
Model Year 18 (MY18) Spec
Manufactured around March 2017

CORRIS GREY
WARRANTY START DATE:27/06/2017
Full Jaguar Service History
Clear on PNC, some previous MOT failures for windscreen/headlight washer issues.

NM19EHF is car 48230
Model Year 18 (MY18) Spec
Manufactured around March 2017

CORRIS GREY
WARRANTY START DATE:14/08/2019
This car was made in March 2017 but was unused on the road until 14th August 2019 so yes its pre-GPF.

First service done in Nov 2020 so in theory on schedules but actually 3yrs+ late/old oil.
Not seen by Jaguar since Nov 2021 so due service now.
Clear on PNC, clear on MOT (only had one) and untaxed since 18th October.

Both cars have had both MY18 software updates applied to forget dynamic mode and also keep exhaust valves closed at lower RPM.

Quite late to the party on this thread, but the 3 F-Types on that episode of Top Gear (on the Mall in London) were:
OY13 PZV
OY13 MKU
