Ok guys here's a little review on Koch Chemie Greenstar product. After trying various prewashes as citruses and snowfoams over the years I've always maintained that these products don't really remove much more dirt than just plain water through the pressure washer. Yes there is a slight difference but not enough to warrant forking out ££ for if there's not a massive difference. </p><p>A white car is the best example to show you my findings after a quick trial test. </p><p>Pics below to show you and in order of trial. </p><p>So here is the rear end of my car to show what I started with.</p><p><img src="http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j457/wanner69/20161220_115407_zps9mueploy.jpg" border="0" /></p><p>On the left side only, Valet pro citrus 1:6 applied with pump sprayer and left to soak for 5 mins then pressure washed off</p><p><img src="http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j457/wanner69/20161220_115503_zpsqu63kqcl.jpg" border="0" /></p><p>Dirt was very much still present so Bilt Hamber foam applied through lance on left side again.</p><p><img src="http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j457/wanner69/20161220_115827_zpsm33nb71q.jpg" border="0" /></p><p>Results on left side</p><p><img src="http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j457/wanner69/20161220_120234_zpsrrsnjygl.jpg" border="0" /></p><p><br><img src="http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j457/wanner69/20161220_120242_zpsqmvgptml.jpg" border="0" /></p><p>Still plenty of dirt remaining on the paint surface. 50/50 of prewashed left side and untouched right side so yes there is a difference but I plain old water I believe would have given me similar results to the left.</p><p><br><img src="http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j457/wanner69/20161220_120300_zpsc95w87zx.jpg" border="0" /></p><p>Now for the Koch Chemie Greenstar product. I decided to try it at a ratio of 1:10 and see what effect it had on my current lsp which is a d‚¬f1initive development wax.</p><p>Again applied through a pump sprayer and left to soak for 5 mins</p><p><img src="http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j457/wanner69/20161220_120300_zpsc95w87zx.jpg" border="0" /></p><p><br><img src="http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j457/wanner69/20161220_120515_zps5rtyxjrx.jpg" border="0" /></p><p>Resulting in a massive cleaning difference</p><p><img src="http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j457/wanner69/20161220_121147_zpst7lliqda.jpg" border="0" /></p><p>Remember the left side, VP followed by Bilt Hamber </p><p><br><img src="http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j457/wanner69/20161220_121207_zpschc37tkb.jpg" border="0" /></p><p>So in conclusion, citrus and foam washes removed about 50% of the dirt, Greenstar removed 90%. As for my lsp it's still going strong. I may even dilute further next time and see what the results are again. Overall very happy and needless to say I will not be buying or using snow foams and citrus products again. Interesting. Pumping on foam or citrus is not as effective as a proper foam bottle and pressure washer I find. <br /><br />I have had very impressive results with the G-Techniq Snow Foam using various dilutions but settling on 4:1. <br /><br />Again, if the Greenstar is very alkaline then I'd steer clear unless the car is heavily soiled.

Cheers Tel,<div></div>Moz, the snow foam was applied through a foam lance on my pressure washer. Also don't forget that diluting the product down will reduce the alkaline levels too. On my test I diluted 1:10 for heavily soiled cars. In the summer when traffic film is lighter i'll even dilute further to 1:20 and it will still clean better than foams or citrus products.

I've been using Gtechniq foam for a while now and find it lifts the dirt off really well. That's with a gtechniq coating on the car. <br /><br />Thanks for the in depth review.

And I find that if the dirt is fresh, it can sometimes be enough to just use a pressure washer without any soap/foam. The GTechniq Crystal serum with an EXO top coating makes the dirty hardly stick. Even bugs are easilly removed.

Yeah, completely agree Arne. I've got Crystal Serum Black plus C2V3 on top and the winter grime just slides off after using the Gtechniq foam. Not had to contend with bugs yet but I'll soon find out in the summer!

I have to say i'm a wax man over sealants and coatings and dirt definitely seems to stick to the paint surface with wax applied more so than sealants
