Sun dazzle reflection from rear leaper in Mirror

I have recently been dazzled by my rearview mirror from the sun shining onto the "Leaper" on the boot of my Coupe. The only easy way around this
is to adjust the mirror but then one cannot see.
Does anyone know the availability of a non-reflective leaper and jaguar lettering where they may be purchased and how to fit?

My leaper is shielded by the fixed rear spoiler so I've never noticed that potential problem!

I wonder if the newer black ones would be better in that regard.

This was once a problem for me too at night the emblem on the spoiler of my old R could reflect the lights from overhead gantries.(autobahn)!
Out of the corner of one's eye this can be mistaken for a flash!🥺🤔
Can happen in this country too I'm told🤭🤫

Never had this problem myself. then again. its hardly ever sunny here :S

Rather than changing the leaper, the easier option would to spray the leaper with Plastidip. Either black or the colour of your choice.
It can be easily peeled off if you change your mind.

I am in Oz and more than a little sun when I drive, can’t say I have ever noticed any reflection off the leaper in the mirror. Surely just a certain time of day with the sun at just the wrong height?

I have a black car and noticed this flash and mistaken it for a speed camera. Happened more than once.
So I changed to black emblems but now at night over gantry lights flash against the black paintwork. More of a shadow really but can be mistaken for a flash.
Only happens with the spoiler up so the alternative is to drive below 70mph
The problem persists🤦‍♂️

I've noticed this a couple of times. It never dazzled me though because it only seems to hit the right angle to reflect the sun on the way up/down and not when fully up. I just thought that the little flash from behind was a nice indication of that the spoiler has gone up.
