Strange noise when turn from steering column

I once had a similar sound when turning at full lock and when stopping. It was a single knock each time, usually when maneuvering.

It turned out to be a spring which was defective and therefore not sitting in the shock absorber cup properly.

If you've replaced the shock absorbers, I'm guessing you may have changed the springs too.

Just for peace of mind, it might be worth double checking each end of the spring is sitting properly (ie flush).

Hi, i have latest updates following some tests with my friend: I know that the noise comes from the front left part of the car and in particular from the top part.
When hear the noise, if I put it in reverse and I go a few meters back and hear the noise again, if I put it in first gear and go forward I hear the noise again and so on.
If I put my hand near the shock absorber, on the top where there is the cross symbol on the chassi, when I hear the noise I feel a vibration under my hand. believing it was a problem with the left shock absorber, I swapped the shock absorbers but the noise always comes from the left.
Before I realized that the noise was coming from the top, I thought it was to the stabilizer bar and I changed the left stabilizer bar link but no is this the problem.
If anyone can help me and knows a TSB for this defect it would be very helpful

Thanks

As you’ve said the noise comes from the top front left of the car and the vibration is felt on the chassis cross symbol (located under the bonnet, outboard from the top of the suspension strut), have a look at this ‘ROAD SPRING AND DAMPER-FRONT’ parts diagram for your car which shows all the components....https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com/parts/index/hierarchy/id/152.1068.2395/brand/jaguar/

There are also the 'FRONT WISHBONES' to consider as shown here.... https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic.com/parts/index/hierarchy/id/152.1068.2396/brand/jaguar/

I’ve attached two screenshots from the above links which relate to RWD cars. The links also have info for the AWD.
