Something for the weekend Sir

If you want an F-Type as a secondary car for fun at the weekends (or during the summer) then what is the minimum specification ?

I think I could get it down to £54,400 with a 340bhp Coupe. The extras that I would put on are the cruise control/limiter, the front parking sensors (it's a long bonnet/hood) and the reverse camera.

A sun roof would be nice, but it's not essential, neither is the dual climate control and the big sound system.

On our British roads it will more than fast enough to put a smile on your face.

Pretty much agree with the must have items
BUT

You have to add the panoramic roof option - even if you have to save for an extra month or two.

I certainly like my sunroof but if you put a gun to my head, I would take the car without it

For me, a weekend car has to come without a roof, otherwise it's just another everyday car.
That said, the coupe has the better over all lines, but you can't see them from the driving seat...right?

I would therefore take a totally stock 340 roadster over any coupe...as a weekend car.

...wouldn't turn my nose up at a Project7, mind due....Now THAT would be something extra special for the weekend
lol . If I lived somewhere sunny, then I would agree on the roaster, but it's mid-August here at only 15c

Lol....In that case, you must live somewhere like north Lincolnshire....um...right on the coast??

For goodness sake Mr Winger.....buy a woolly hat and a decent coat....Enjoy the bracing east coast air....

Flying jacket?....hoh!....suits you sir!...........at the weekend sir!...hoh!
lol.

And yes, I do live in Lincolnshire. I'll go and get my coat and man up

If you're going to store it over the winter, not drive it every week, make sure you add in the cost of a good trickle charger and the car cover.
