It may well be time to say farewell to what has been by far the most rewarding car I have owned. There is nothing I have had which matches the theatre, thrill and beauty of this car, but all good things must come to an end.

It's actually "YouTube Famous" now too - check it out here.

2015 (MY16) AWD Coupe R
Blackberry Metallic (I think this is relatively rare paint, I've only ever seen a couple of others)
Approx 72k miles - Jag service history to 2017, Tom Lenthall have then looked after the car annually since 2018 and next service due October. I'm sure if you ring them they will vouch for the car, they did when I was looking to buy it.
It has wanted for nothing and as you'll see on the MoT history page, has sailed through without advisories each year.
Currently on 4 pretty new Michelin PS4S on the Gyrodyne wheels (the best in my view, so good Ferrari did a nice copy job on the Roma!).

Spec:
Panoramic roof (personally, a must in the coupe to improve cabin feel and ambience)
Heated 14-way memory Performance Seats
Premium black leather interior with white contrast stitch
Meridian Surround Sound stereo
Adaptive headlights
Blind spot assist
Radar assist at the rear (tells you if a car is approaching from either side if you're reversing out of a parking space etc.)
Heated windscreen
Heated steering wheel
Power tailgate
Jaguar InControl apps and the telematics system which allows use of the app to track and record mileage, vehicle status etc.
Illuminated "Jaguar" side sills
Adjustable colour-changing ambient lighting
Active exhaust
Electronic spoiler (not fixed)
Front and rear parking sensors and rear camera

I've got a firm offer from a dealer of £25k so looking for £26k ovno for a private sale to a forum member. I have no doubt that if I do sell her to a dealer she would be back on the open market with a price tag much nearer £30k so this is, frankly, a bargain.

In my ownership she has been kept garaged when not in use and not driven too much in the winter time, although being based in Hampshire we are fortunate in not normally being drowned in grit!

The key question is what are you replacing it with??

(£24k from dealer is a good offer).

Nice looking car - from experience dealers offer £6k below retail and I’m guessing spend £1-2k getting it showroom ready.
So agree £24k trade-in seem ok (but I’m no expert!)
But likewise a good opportunity for a private buyer to save a few £s
Good luck with the sale and what model Aston are you looking at?

I've been scouring the internet for a Rapide - I have two children and it's becoming noticeable they feel some unfairness that only one can come with me in the Jag... plus I've wanted an Aston for as long as I've known about cars!
One day if money allows I'll have another F Type, I've enjoyed this one so much (as is visible from the mileage! :D )

I also have two children and neither are allowed in the F-Type. Seems fair that way!

There is the Qashqai for family duties!

Good luck with the search.

🤣🤣🤣 that’s brilliant.

The other alternative is the Maserati Granturismo. Four proper seat, good build quality and not ruinous running costs.

Yeah, and I know Harry Metcalfe raved about them, but for me it's a desire I've always had since I was small to one day have an Aston. Also: V12!

Astons are very nice. Based on designs by the same person as the F type, in some respects. Problem is you'll be needing to wear a dinner suit and bow tie every time you go out in the 'Ashton'. 🤣

Rapides are great value. There's a review on YouTube by one of the journalists covering this (I can't remember who).

You've probably done your research many times over. From what I have found as some of the V12 Aston's have some similar issues to the F type, being the chassis steel bits and injectors. Jay Emm has a good video on what to look for. https://youtu.be/gX5AfQAGHcY?feature=shared

Yep - I think I've watched just about everything (bar the 2 minute shorts by some American child with his hat on backwards just revving the nuts off them) there is online about Rapide and most of the vids on Astons in general. I actually made an offer to part-ex my F Type against that DB9 that James had from Ben on DadCars and he was considering it until some chap turned up with a sack of cash.

Also my uncle used to half-own an independent Aston workshop, although sadly they only do pre-Gaydon cars now so I won't be getting mate's rates - I've resolved it'll be going to Works in a trailer if I do get one, given they're so rare, in the hope that no future buyer would have much to grumble about.

Some more photos, sorry about the leaves in the footwell and (clean!) tissues in the passenger door bin but I haven’t had time to clean it just yet (and to be honest, have no need to if a dealer is taking it!).

Really no interest in this awesome machine at £26k? The only other example is 10k miles fewer at £29.5k on Autotrader and that doesn’t have a pan roof or heated steering wheel.

Hi there, yes it is, sadly the deal with the Aston fell through because there was a problem with it.
I’m still looking for a Rapide S though.

I've managed to broker a new deal for a Rapide S - I've been offered £25k for my F Type, the dealer expects to retail it around £29k.

I expect the deal to go through by the end of this month, so any offers above £26k will take it with around a 10% discount!

Thank you. Would you be able to private message me please? It won’t let me message you sorry as I’m a fairly new member.
