You don't need an account with any of the providers.
The sim that most are using in the F-Pace and the XE is a "3" data only sim from Amazon.
It was 12G for 12 months for around £25.
Simply plug and play, no need to register and when it runs out after 12 months simply bin it and buy another one.

EDIT: It has gone up to just under 30 quid but you can buy a smaller data allowance for less.

Why do you need a SIM card for the Sat Nav?
Mine worked from day one, has my dealer inserted a Sim Card somewhere?

I have a £5 per month add on to my existing EE account which shares data. Sim gives access to live traffic and a few other live services.

Got mine from the link below, still one of the cheapest around and much better IMHO than sharing data with your phone as this sit's in the car which enables you to plan routes at home using Jaguars "route planner" and then when you jump in the car bingo the route is already on the sat nav ;)

All F-Types now come with the Pro version of the ICT as standard fitment.
This comes with a slot for a Sim which will give additional things like route planning as mentioned above, live traffic info, wifi hotspot etc etc.
The standard ICT doesn't have this so you aren't missing out (although on some models it was an optional extra with the standard ICT)

Mine must have a sim as I can use the app to talk to the car.. I have no idea where it is though...

They all have a built in sim from the factory buried somewhere deep in the bowels of the car in order for the incontrol app to work and on some for the roof buttons to contact jag assist and the emergency button.
This is a separate one that you have to shell out for yourself if you want the extra "features" that come with the pro ICT.

Hi Ian, tip to get the apps working if you have an I phone (although to be honest they are not that great) you need to have the i phone screen unlocked and the phone plugged in via the usb BEFORE you start the car up.
