Sill door seal attachment

Any advice on how the sill door seal is attached please; the rubber seal seems quite a loose fit in its channel and, washing the car this afternoon, it just came away from the bodywork - some fairly minimal kind of gluey tape is visible in parts but it's pretty much disintegrated. Has anyone re-attached these seals with a more effective method?
Thanks in advance!

Have a search on YouTube. There an in-depth video of an owner fitting new laminated sill plates. He removes these seals, as part of the process. From what I remember there are a series of clips & the best method is to fit the clips to the seal before clipping seal back to the metal.

UK owner with red car. Will try & find link for you.

You should also remove the remains of that ‘gluey tape’ from the bodywork and any that’s on the rubber seal itself. I’ve used Evo-Stick contact adhesive on other areas of the car where rubber has come away from the bodywork and it’s worked a treat. Others have used 3M products such as double sided tape and Super Weatherstrip Adhesive but I didn’t find the double sided tape very good for what I needed.
