Siezed exhaust valves with a twist.

So I've trawled the forum and noticed exhaust valves are a common issue. I got some high temp spray lube and went to do a bit of preventative maintainence this morning and found one of the valves is stuck closed but this is where it gets odd. The other posts say theirs have been stiff but It's like it's got a notch in that position and if I put some sideways pressure on the actuator rod it clicks free and opens all the way. When I turn it closed it clicks at the end of the travel and gets stuck there. Has anyone come across this before? I've obviously tried lubricating it and then actuating a few dozen times but the click is still there and it's still getting stuck fully shut.

I have the same issue with mine currently. Mine have rotted on the housing for the diaphragm and are sticking open because the spring inside has gone rusty/snapped.

There's a place in Leeds that replaces them both with a life time warranty for £300. Planning on getting mine done soon.
 
I wonder if there's a place further south that does it. I'm down in deepest, darkest Devon sadly! Might ring around a few custom exhaust shops and see if they can help. Sticking new ones on looks a pretty simple job for a decent welder
 
There's a place called Modstock who are in Epsom, London who do the same work I think.

Yeah it does look like a easy job, issue Is I haven't been able to find anywhere who sells them or I'd just do them myself.
