Due to the poor design of the side seals they trap detritus which then leads to the common issue of fine vertical scratches at the top of the side windows.
Noticed today that mine looked a bit grim so gave them a clean.

With the window down and door open you can flex the seal away from the body and push your finger along the top and outside edge to clean it up.

The inside edge picks up muck from the pressure of the window and dries hard so careful use of a cake knife rubs that away.

The resultant muck can be moved along the trough of the seal with short pushes from a flat ended skewer and out the open (lock) end of the door.

The skewer can also be used to push the collected dry muck forwards through the end of the seal at the hinge end.
Happy with the result and will check again come autumn.
