Is there a way of finding out whats actually been done at each service with a main dealer history? reason i ask is my recent purchase came with a full history but does not go into any detail about whats actually been done like spark plugs or diff oil etc.

You can contact the dealer as shown on OSH with the job number to see if they can help.
I always make sure when mine is serviced that they put all the jobs they did as line items in case one day it is for sale.

Yes i think going forward thats what i will do, its been serviced at the same place that sold it all its life but they were a bit vague with details of what exactly had been done at each service. I think i miss the days of seeing lots of paperwork with a car!

You can look up on OSH what should of been done. An as Simple R said I get them to enter that information line by line. We do have to trust those servicing our cars are actually doing the work. Which in most case is the cases.
