Seemingly permanent spots on back of sills

My F-type is black and where the back of the sills sweep outwards just in front of the rear wheel there is a plethora of white spots that I just don’t seem to be able to remove.

I’ve tried a polishing compound and I’ve also tried a clay bar although I confess that I really don’t know what I’m doing with the clay bar (even after very careful reading of the instructions).

Any ideas how to remove these spots? Your help, as ever, is very much appreciated.

Are you sure it’s not just road rash?

That'd be my guess - "body in white" showing through. MIne has triangular plastic stickers at the end of the sill, presumably as a form of protection.

If they are like the white spots i had on my PPF down there they might be from road marking paint? I went through some new roadworks with new paint last year and they are almost impossible to get off without scary amounts of rubbing.

That'll be it. You can disguise it and prevent it getting worse by having protective film added to the area.
