Hi while driving home from work tonight the car suddenly started running really rough and vibrating also exhaust note seems to have changed.
Any help with this please ?

Help us to help you - more details please! Year and model you've got, mileage, history, etc.

Hi and welcome. Sorry to hear your first post is one of woe and hope you report back with an update as many one-time posters with issues don't.

I see you've posted on the jaguar owners club in the XF section. If you have an F-Type then your in the right place for help so let us know your model, MY, car details etc (we like pictures), warning lights, history etc.

Hi sorry car is a 2014 f type v6s with around 60000 miles. Never had any trouble with it until now hope this helps.

Find a good independent Jaguar man save a fortune.

Does sound like possible ht pack, injector is possible

The F type has a single unit for each cylinder

You code was for cylinder #4 if you identify the cylinder and swap the coil to another cylinder and run it check the code has changed to the other cylinder if so, almost certain that’s the problem. Will also explain the un burnt fuel.

PS these are expensive cars If your not happy get a Jag person to check

I haven’t had the need to do any work on mine so I have never even removed the engine cover
( famous last words) although I have always rebuilt previous car engines.

thanks for the reply Nick I would would love to swap them over and check the codes but I have been trying to search which cyclinder is number 4 but unable to find the layout of a v6s.
John.
