Retracting handle - is this normal?

Hey all,

Had a strange one the other day, basically I managed to lock the keys in the car. I stupidly left the (keyless entry) fob in the cup holder, closed the door behind me and was unable to open it again.

The fob was not close enough to either door for it to open, and the handle had not popped out.

Is this normal action? When I open the door after a drive, the handle remains in, it doesn’t pop out. Manually pulling the handle doesn’t do anything (unless the key is within range) as the car appears to be locked.

This doesn’t seem right to me. The handles do pop out and retract back with the remote fob as normal.

I am also having an issue with the window not dropping in the drivers side, but I can see other post with people suffering the same thing, so I’m working through that.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Hey all,

Just bumping this one, would someone mind checking if their door handle stays in after driving and opening/closing door?

Many thanks!

Not sure, mine stays out until I lock it with a double press. I never leave it unlocked for long enough to see if they go in on their own, but I'm pretty sure they stay out unless I lock the car..

It’s hard to be sure what exact sequence you’re looking for.
If I park up and open the door from inside the handles pop out. From that point they remain out until I blip the key fob to lock the car.
Comfort access is disabled for security reasons. So doesn’t lock itself.

Thanks, so mine doesn’t do that. The handles stay in after opening from the inside. Assume there is an issue somewhere in that case.

Thanks all!

Ok - something sounds wrong.
I did also wonder how you managed to lock your own keys inside. Try as I might I can't, thankfully.
