The r8 pips it due the colour combo tbh buth nice cars but the r8 wld make me turn my head more

f type all the way the r8 looks nothing in comparision to the f type what f type is that and would have the fixed rear spoiler and change the wheels but as I said before jaguars are better than any other car brand other than Bentley or rolls Royce

The design of the R8 resembles that of the TT, nothing terrible about that but the F-Type is a design classic whereas the R8 is already dating.

I looked at the R8 before choosing the F-Type. Didn't stir me at all. As previous comments about the TT, to me it was just a big TT and actually very bland inside.
Saw a half decent one in an Audi dealers the other week, but it was £155k, so it should have been insane looking, but wasn't

tough choice - both cars look great (although i do prefer the looks of the f Type) and both have fantastic engines (screaming V10 verses growling V8)

Overall the f type gets my vote

F-type all the way, looked at the R8 (overgrown TT) and would struggle to get a man bag in the front whereas the F-Type you can get a couple of cases in. F-type also sounds the nuts whereas most owners of the R8 change to an aftermarket exhaust to get a decent sound out of it.

It’s not that Audis don’t look great, it’s not that they don’t drive brilliantly, it’s not a lack of quality.

For me it’s a lack of soul in the Marque. The heritage goes back to the 70s with the Quattro and there it ends.

The F is a nod to the history of the Jaguar legend and that’s why it’s shape has a soul, and that’s why we love it.

As for the buy British, always a good idea, but if you don’t mind I’ll keep shopping internationally for the aluminium and the components that are used to build my Jag.

R8 is a squished TT with no heart or passion. It's bland and does not turn heads IMO

F-type is one of the most beautiful cars ever made, has way more soul and will turn a lot more heads.

Some rather biased views but that's to be expected on a one Marque/model forum. I do love my F Type but even so, I think the R8 has a real presence on the road. It stands out as quite different to the TT, the RS version of which is a real flyer.

Aitch, I promise you this is not bias from me. Long before I have owned an F-type I have never liked the R8.

It's all just personal opinion of course, and each to their own, but I really do not think an R8 is special. If I was spending that kind of money on a car I think there are far more special cars out there.

I don't doubt its performance and driving abilities. It just doesn't feel special enough and I also don't consider it a supercar like some people do. Worth noting I also do not consider the F-type SVR to be a supercar either.
