Quicksilver exhaust for v6s

Hey guys<br /><br />Does anyone have any experience with the quicksilver exhaust for the v6?<br /><br />The few videos online are pretty bad.<br /><br />Seems to sound amazing but I'm yet to hear one in person!<br />I wonder if it would be too droney at crusing speeds, also...

Good questions SammyV6S..........Particularly the one about noise comfort on long motorway runs.<br><br>I'd really like to experience the set up for real.

Hmm appears no one has any experience with it!<div><br></div><div>What about the VIP tuning packages?</div><div>http://www.vip-design.london/shop/vip-design-jaguar-f-type-v6-480r/</div><div><br></div><div>I'm not in a position to spend another £11k but after emailing with them the price for their exhaust upgrade is £2500 incl VAT, fitted with black tips. Price alters depending on tips.</div><div>Unsure of the cost of the QS exhaust yet.</div><div><br></div><div>The VIP exhaust however, retains the switchable valves. I'm not sure I really care about this, but just want to avoid drones on the highway if I go for an aftermarket exhaust.</div><div><br></div><div>However, I think the VIP mod is de-cat.. which I'm wary of.. should I be?</div><div><br></div><div>EDIT: Looks like VIP are the same group as Paramount and they have more prices: </div><div>http://www.paramount-performance.com/F-Type/</div>

Good to know..<div><br></div><div>I see they also offer the Milltek exhaust as well.. ugh, so many options..</div>

<u>QuickSilver Exhaust for sale.</u> <div><br></div><div>I own a 2015 F-Type V6 and upgraded the exhaust to QuickSilver. The QS exhaust is insane and sounds incredible. The cracks and pops are so prominent (more like gun shots) and a head turner. Sounds like a V8. </div><div><br></div><div>The QS exhaust was on the F-Type for approximately 100 miles when I replaced it with the Milltek exhaust. The QS exhaust is always on which I loved...but too loud for my wife (I lost that one).</div><div><font color="#333333"><span style="font-size: 14px; : rgb243, 243, 242;"><br></span></font></div><div><font color="#333333"><span style="font-size: 14px; : rgb243, 243, 242;">Cost new is $2,000. I will sell it for $1,100 including shipping.</span></font></div><div><font color="#333333"><span style="font-size: 14px; : rgb243, 243, 242;"><br></span></font></div><div><font color="#333333"><span style="font-size: 14px; : rgb243, 243, 242;">Let me know if interested or if I can provide additional information.</span></font></div><div><font color="#333333"><span style="font-size: 14px; : rgb243, 243, 242;"><br></span></font></div><div><font color="#333333"><span style="font-size: 14px; : rgb243, 243, 242;">Tom</span></font></div>

Thanks Tom,<div><br></div><div>I've gotten some feedback elsewhere that went along the lines of the QS exhaust being amazing but full of drone at motorway speeds, 70-80mph while cruising, and the Milltek Exhaust sounding too close to the stock exhaust.</div><div><br></div><div>I'd be interested to hear your feedback on the two?</div><div><br></div><div>I'm aware the Milltek has valve control. I'm not a fan of the exhaust tips though (minor issue)</div>

<div style="font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">You can find the spec comparison of the Quicksilver exhaust to stock exhaust on QS website. The overall sound of the QS is amazing. Where I found the exhaust to drone was at lower speeds around 2,000 rpms (when my wife was driving and why we had to replace it). The exhaust is loud as the specs below share and it really depends on how you drive the car. I drive more aggressive and loved the sound.</div><div style="font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"> </div><div style="font-family: verdana, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><div><u>I actually have two sets of tips that I am selling with the QS exhaust.</u> The ones that come with it (very poor quality in my opinion) and the full carbon tips that come on the QS V8 option (these look great).</div><div><br></div><div>The Milltek exhaust is more expensive...especially compared to the $1,100 QS option I am offering here. I personally like the Milltek tips. I purchased black and they fit close to the back of the car and angle sharply that match with back. The performance of Milltek is not as aggressive as the QS but more aggressive than the stock exhaust and you have valve control.</div></div>

Thanks again TGA<div><br></div><div>Do you have any photos of the carbon tips on the car?</div><div>QS Told me a few months back that they couldn't produce these for the V6 Exhaust.</div><div><br></div><div>I've seen the specs and few videos (I dont think the videos do it justice) but one ex-QS user told me it was very drone heavy while motorway crusing which has slightly put me off. I tend to drive the car 'aggressively' too but I also go on very long motorway runs where I do actually want to have a conversation with whoever else is in the car haha</div>

I negotiated with QuickSilver to have both tip options as the tips that come with the V6 exhaust looked "cheap". The tips that come with the exhaust have a wrapped carbon fiber look that I did not prefer.<div><br></div><div>***I keep receiving a "internal sever error" message each time trying to upload a photo. You can email me directly at [email protected] and I will send them to you directly.</div><div><br></div><div>Tom<br><div><br></div></div>

Have you looked at the new exhaust being developed by VelocityAP. Although a US/Canadian based co. now, the owner is English and has a partnership supplying their products in the UK through an Aston Martin race team in Banbury I think. They have been providing 'stuff' to the AM GT3/4 racecars I think.<div><br></div><div>They are more active on the other channel http://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f-type-x152-72/velocityap-exhaust-development-jaguar-f-type-v8s-v8r-v6-v6s-170738/</div><div><br></div><div>I am going to try their lowering springs first then maybe try an exhaust and remap. From what I read they are the only ones I'd trust. Particularly if fitted by a race team here in the UK.</div>

I should add... I have absolutely no connection with Velocity.. Just one email with Stuart there to ask about pricing on a few items.

Hi Paul<br />I haven't yet as I'm not techy enough to understand their offering- it looks like like they just offer downpipes for the v6s? I'm not sure what that achieves re sound and performance?<br /><br />Maybe I should give them an email :)

Vap are an awesome company, i've had a lot of dealings with them.<br>I have their 200 cell sports cats fitted and also their remap, the car is awesome as it should be with 620+bhp <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley4.gif" border="0" alt="Big smile" title="Big smile" /><br>

I pinged them again and they replied - yeah seem like great guys.<div>Looks like the remap and 200 cell cats will push the power up to 430hp</div><div><br></div><div>Also developing their own exhaust but thats gonna take some time</div><div><br></div><div>Ah so many options ha</div><div><br></div><div>But I guess if what I'm after is MORE of the exhaust noise, these sports cats will give me that and retain the valve control AND more power.. hmm</div><div>Best of all worlds perhaps?</div>

Hmm so so<div><br></div><div>Just exploring options at the moment. I guess picking the QS Exhaust is just really replacing the back box of the exhaust system so shouldnt cause any issues, but something like the Velocity one is replacing a lot more and remapping the ECU so that may breach the warranty...</div><div><br></div><div>tricky!</div>
