Purchasing a Used F-Type

Hi All

Im looking at purchasing a Used F-Type
Its is a 2014 Jaguar F-Type V8 S Convertible.
With 62 500km's.

I have test drove the Vehicle & all seems fine, just expected wear & tear for the age of the vehicle.
Is there anything I need to perhaps check prior to purchasing
That is common with a F-Type & the V8 engines.

I'd appreciate any input/advise

Some people have had issues with the roof motors getting "drowned" when the drains have become blocked.
 
As a 2014 owner I'd say they are pretty built proof, but look for all the usual things on a car with 10 years of use

Not sure about the climate where you are, but in the UK there are some issue with rear cross members corroding. It's rarely structural but a bit more than just cosmetic. Certainly worth getting them looked at before you buy on a 10 year old. Can either replace of get them coated, painted, etc.

Centre vent can get lazy and opens more slowly until one day it seizes.

Seat bolsters wear due to the way some people slide on them.
 
If I'm not mistaken this one with have the vents high up and more central right?
So might be worth looking for water ingress into the engine bay around where the injectors are.

Not sure about the convertible but coupe models have issues with water ingress into the boot that pools where the second battery is (trunk for those of you who don't speak the King's).
Sticky buttons is another big one on older models.

As always, take a look at the service history as well. Make sure everything has been done and when it should have been. Supercharger belts, diff oil etc.
 
Johannesburg? Shouldn’t have so much issue with water ingress, price looks good compared to Uk, I think that’s £27,000 GBP. Also with that light interior can easily tell if it’s been heavily used. Would want to see a good service history and it looks like a full two year warranty is included, so what’s not to like 👍
