Hi I am a new on here having just picked up my new F Type 3.0S and looking behind the front grille I can see a grey polystyrene cover that looks like some sort of delivery packaging/packing that hasn't been removed before delivery.<div><br></div><div>Does anybody else have this? is it normal or should I be returning to the dealership for them to sort out.</div><div><br></div><div>Hope someone has an idea of what Im talking about <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0" alt="Confused" title="Confused" /></div><div><br></div><div>Thanks</div>

Is it between the front grill and the radiator / intercooler?<div><br></div><div>If so it must be packaging - i don't remember having any!</div>

Worried it could cause a lack of airflow across the intercooler and cause overheating perhaps.<br /><edited><editID>MickyB</editID><editDate>2016-07-31 22:01:09</editDate></edited>

At first glance I'd say it's definitely not meant to have been left in place? I'm fairly certain when I was last cleaning the car I never noticed anything like that behind my grill! I will have another look when I go out in the morning but if memory serves that's not present on mine!

I've just checked and it's there on my S. Does not interfere with the air flow over the radiator but it appears to be there for a reason. Perhaps it's part of the cushioning in the event of a collision. All modern cars seem to have something like this both front and rear.

The passengers are protected by airbags. The styrene foam is designed to prevent low speed impact damage (around 5 mph) to the vehicle.

Thanks everybody for your replies, it appears that this is supposed to be there, does look like it shouldn't be though.<div>Back to the dealers again tomorrow........just received a copy of the invoice with £1750.00 of sundries in the form of: </div><div>Cosmetic repair insurance</div><div>Alloy Wheel insurance</div><div>Tyre Insurance</div><div>and even worse....... £700.00 for bloody Gardx that i didn't even want!!!</div><div><br></div><div>Somebody is going to have their ears chewed severely!!!</div>

I stand corrected - it is present on mine! Just never noticed it before! <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" alt="LOL" title="LOL" />
