Hi all,

Bought 2014 R RWD from main dealer in Sept. Very happy. One small niggle- the “strings” that pull the shelf up are slightly different lengths. So all the weight is on one, which then pulls out. Then with all the weight on the other it happens again!

Anyone had the same problem?
 
No. I had a problem with the shelf slipping out of the "hinges", and jamming the rear door which resulting in one of the cords pulling out of the shelf. I couldn't get the cord to reattach - it apparently isn't designed to be refittable, at least not in my MY18 vehicle.

The whole lot was replaced under warranty and the grommets to centralise the shelf between the fittings were also fitted.

I'd have a word with the selling dealer as it sounds like it wasn't good when you bought it.
