Good Morning,
I have been advised to get in contact with you by my dealership (Pentland Perth) regarding a paintwork issue I have.
I have some paint bubbles on the rear wing which were looked at by the dealer last week - he then sent in a request to JLR to correct under warranty. JLR have refused permission to do the job stating that the paint bubbles have been caused by stone chips.
Naturally I am pretty disappointed with this response, particularly as this contradicts the advice of the bodywork specialist in the dealership who has advised that this corrosion is not as a result of stonechips or other such damage and is likely to have been water trapped in the paint during spraying. He has seen the vehicle in the flesh and is not relying on a photograph taken on an iPad to base his decision.
Could I respectfully request that this decision is looked at before I look at other action that will cause both you and I more hassle.
Yours Sincerely,
David
