Paid a holding deposit

Hi folks
I am going to view an SVR when conditions allow and have paid a holding deposit to reserve it.
I have a couple of questions:-
The car has only done 6k miles and 5 years old, is it possible to access the car's history to ensure that the low mileage is not due to being in the workshop all its life?
Secondly the add says it has the 770w Meridian sound system but the logo on the door speaker does not have the "Surround" Monica under it, is that correct?
Anyone point me to the 2016 SVR options list?
Many thanks

If the speakers just say Meridian I believe that's the 380 watt version, but maybe the SVRs were different.

The low mileage could be because it's a garage queen, rather than been problematic - many owners use their cars very infrequently. My V8 R is just coming up to 4 years old and has only done 7700 miles.

Member on here simpleR can find information if you let him know the registration of the vehicle.

My MY2014 V6S has Meridian Surround badges on the door covers and has the 770W system. You'll be able to check the options in the sound system menu when you view the car. Final thought... you won't use any sound system because the engine and its exhaust will bring more than music to your driving experience. Enjoy!

Thank you scm
Have found the 2016 brochure and the 770w system was an option on the SVR so am guessing it has the 380w system. The ad is descriptively incorrect then so maybe a reduction is in order 😂.
Reg is VA16ZCN if simple r is looking.
Would have preferred the surround sound but not a deal breaker just slightly confused by the ad and lack of "surround" moniker.

Hi, VA and VE plates are typically press cars however this one may be an exception as it was PDI and serviced by the same dealer up to 3 yrs old (Jan 2020) and not Jaguar factory OR Paragon. The 4th service hasn't been recorded (but MOT was completed) so presume it either hasn't been done or done outside of dealer/independent network who cannot update the online service history.

Clear on PNC. No outstanding campaigns or recalls. Car 40192. I'll PM you full VIN.
Cheers

Wow thank you simpleR 👍
Should I be worried? Press cars look like they get a complete thrashing. It comes with installed front and back dash cams, rubber load cover, indoor storage cover and Jaguar Optimate car charger so sounds like a persons car rather than a company car etc.
2 owners so I'll need to check who the first owner was when viewing, whenever that may be.
Much obliged

Press cars are usually VA or VE plates and PDI at factory and maintained by Paragon Fleet Solutions. This was neither as it was PDI and serviced at a dealer so unlikely to have been a press car and I cannot find it on internet at all or in any magazines. But as you said, check previous owners.

I found out that my car apparently was a designated press car, but the first owner bought it before it was "thrashed" I think.
Which is why it has all the extras ! So you may be scoring if your car's been specced to the hilt

Well I have her now in my possession. I'd love to put a picture up but for the life of me I cannot work out how to do it. Do I need permission or something? I posted a picture of a Ctek charger on another post but something seems to have changed or I am going scenile 😛

Go into "Full Editor & Preview", click Attachments and Add Files, then follow the instructions!

Lovely looking machine - That was my initial colour choice with the Black Pack...wifee won the toss!

Do you find yourself peeking out of the window at times and staring at it (and freaking the neighbours out)?

Have to say as good as it looks in the photos, in reality it has me quivering 😂, absolutely stunning and I am in awe of it at the moment anyway. They certainly have some presence don't they.
I was worried that after having several TVRs where you generally get thumbs up and let out of junctions, that the Jag may encourage a few snipes and sneers, but not as yet, everyone seems to be approving 😜. Drove it home down the M40 and got several trucks flashing me and thumbs up, well I think that was the message 😳🤣

Yeah, the F-Type is no Porsche!

What a stunning car 😍 Black wheels & Black Pack contrast beautifully with body colour 👌👍

Also allow time when at petrol stations. People will ask you questions & pay compliments 😄
