Spotted this on salvage Market, Cat S but low mileage for year if anybody looking for a V6 Engine - or maybe just a bit of filler and its back on the road :lol: :shock:

It must be worrying seeing the rows upon rows of recent model cars stacked for scrapping.
Price to fix?
Costs of spares?
Costs and complexities of electronic gizmos?
There must be a reason they’re being scrapped rather than returned to the road?
 
Write off due to wider costs of parts and possible backlogs, painting,, storage, expensive labour, transport costs, courtesy car, etc. all making overall payout costs too much against settlement value of the car.

I’d say the issue is how much damage to structural parts in the front floor pan and sill. That could could be a lot of work. Door doesn't close so hard to see what if any wider distortion has taken place, but intact screen suggests ‘A’ pillar not moved.
Might be worth it for someone if bids are low.

As an aside what’s with all the mopeds on L plates? Must be 20-30 if you look at the various other shots.
Perhaps a Deliveroo job lot :)

Its a salvage auction so most likely will be bought and returned to the road at some point. Though of course will always be a Cat S
Currently at £1660 reserve met and 5 days to go - will be interesting to see final price

Category E which I think is Stolen Recovered but unrecorded - not sure if it would show up on a vehicle check

reg is MV68MGO for future reference if it ever appears up for sale again without disclosure
 
Now that's a T-Bone! Surely that's extensive damage to the A pillar so would need a lot of work? Although I have no idea really hehe.

P.S. those nearside panels fit better than some non-crashed examples I've seen :lol: .

That reg is a red Hyundai i20.
