Ordered my new F Type

Hi<div><br></div><div>Yesterday i made my purchase of an F type S. Italian Racing Red, 20" blades, black pack and a few extra bits on top as well. Im really excited but also slightly confused. The dealer has the car in stock so I can have next week <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /> however Im not sure I have the right red. After looking at pics in books, magazines and online I still cant figure out if it was the Salsa red I really wanted. The Salsa red looks more like an old fashioned postbox red and the italian looks different in every pic I see. Yikes !!</div>
 
Hi Scooby, I had the same concerns when ordering my F type, I did look at both in the flesh and in the end opted for the Salsa Red, however the Italian Red looked fantastic as well, because they both looked great I opted for the £700 cheaper one <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley9.gif" border="0" alt="Embarrassed" title="Embarrassed" />. I do not think you will be unhappy with the Italian Red as it looked fantastic on the car I viewed. <div><br></div><div>Having had a few jaguars I have to say that the premium paint finishes such as the Italian Red do have completely different looks in different light, I had a Botanical Green XF (now traded in for the F Type), in direct sun light it was a deep sparkling green, gorgeous<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0" alt="Tongue" title="Tongue" />, in over cast skies it looked black ! and indoors under artificial lights it looked like British Racing Green. I think you will find that the Italian Racing Red is the same, it will look different in different light, due to the nature of the paint.<div><br></div><div>Once you get it, lets see some pictures !!</div><div><br></div><div>Regards Jamie</div></div>

Fantastic looking Car, I am sure you are happy with the Italian Racing Red now you have it !!! I agree with the black and red combo, the wheels look awesome ! Hi<br /><br />Yes it would be great to meet up. Those 4 weeks are going to drag but it will be even sweeter when you receive it. I would have liked red stitching but it has black. Its the only thing I regret it not having but bearing in mind I only decided on having one last Friday and I received it Wednesday not bad going :-)
 
I was thinking about doing the same but work for me is crazy busy in September and I gambled on being able to drive it for 3 weeks in the sun and so far that has paid off nicely !
