Finally done the deed. After having to do battle with Jaguar & dealers I eventually got the price of the memory seat & mirror pack reduced from £1550 to £1150, despite being told I'd have to pay the higher price. I'd initially been told by a dealer that the best way to work out the spec I wanted would be to use the website configurator, which I did. This quoted the lower figure but the dealer systems all put it up to the higher figure, as that's what is quoted in the printed brochure/pricelist. After banging on about how Jaguar should be consistent with their advertised pricing, they eventually conceded that the price lists were wrong & they would be amending it & reprinting them.

So, the final spec ordered is V6S Coupe in Polaris white. Additions are:
Silver Cyclone alloys
Design & Exterior Black packs
Dual Climate
Dynamic configuration thing which will probably be just a gimmick for a while & then largely ignored!
Flat bottomed wheel
Heated seats
Meridian surround
Glass pan roof
Parking camera pack
Powered tailgate
Seat memory & mirror pack
Smart key entry
Suede performance seats & trim
Visibility pack
Noisy hooligan button

I had sort of favoured black wheels, especially against white paintwork, but for the sake of another £750 I thought that I could always get them sprayed & keep the extra wedge to spend on fuel or some of Jaguar's unbelievably expensive floormats!

Hopefully the dealer has a build slot for early July but I'm not holding my breath on this. It appears some of you guys are being quoted longer wait times than this, so in some ways I'd expect a similar lead time. Not on the sleepless nights yet, but if the last Jag purchase was anything to go by, the final few weeks are probably going to be unbearable.

Just like being a kid at Christmastime all over again...
