Finally done the deed. After having to do battle with Jaguar & dealers I eventually got the price of the memory seat & mirror pack reduced from £1550 to £1150, despite being told I'd have to pay the higher price. I'd initially been told by a dealer that the best way to work out the spec I wanted would be to use the website configurator, which I did. This quoted the lower figure but the dealer systems all put it up to the higher figure, as that's what is quoted in the printed brochure/pricelist. After banging on about how Jaguar should be consistent with their advertised pricing, they eventually conceded that the price lists were wrong & they would be amending it & reprinting them.<br /><br />So, the final spec ordered is V6S Coupe in Polaris white. Additions are:<br />Silver Cyclone alloys<br />Design & Exterior Black packs<br />Dual Climate<br />Dynamic configuration thing which will probably be just a gimmick for a while & then largely ignored!<br />Flat bottomed wheel<br />Heated seats<br />Meridian surround<br />Glass pan roof<br />Parking camera pack<br />Powered tailgate<br />Seat memory & mirror pack<br />Smart key entry<br />Suede performance seats & trim<br />Visibility pack<br />Noisy hooligan button<br /><br />I had sort of favoured black wheels, especially against white paintwork, but for the sake of another £750 I thought that I could always get them sprayed & keep the extra wedge to spend on fuel or some of Jaguar's unbelievably expensive floormats!<br /><br />Hopefully the dealer has a build slot for early July but I'm not holding my breath on this. It appears some of you guys are being quoted longer wait times than this, so in some ways I'd expect a similar lead time. Not on the sleepless nights yet, but if the last Jag purchase was anything to go by, the final few weeks are probably going to be unbearable.<br /><br />Just like being a kid at Christmastime all over again...<br />

Great spec. I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered in early May and got a mid July build slot. Apparently the factory holidays are last week in July and first week of August so the dealer was keen to ensure that the car would be delivered in good time for 1st September which is when I wanted to take delivery. Will give time to get a tracker fitted!

Daytona - you're absolutely right! I figured it might be a pointless gimmick but in some ways so are the adjustable seats. After all, when you spend this much wedge on a motor, how many times are you going to want to lend It out to people who are taller/shorter than you? I have 18 way adjustable seats in my XF & never adjust them because I don't need to - they're perfectly comfortable the way they're set! On a couple of occasions when I've lent it to a couple of my employees it's come back with scraped alloys, which is both infuriating & costly. Can't see me being as generous with the new toy though. As for the configurable dynamics though, I was looking forward to being able to see how much G Force I could generate on roundabouts etc. After I've done that a couple of times I guess that like you, I'll probably forget about it & enjoy the car for what it is!

Regarding memory pack, you need it if you want folding mirrors and automatic mirror dip (passenger mirror only) when going into reverse.<br /><br />I will definitively not lend it! But passenger lady friends may want to mark their territory by memorising their seat configuration :-)

Hi Paul Francis,<div>I have Folding mirrors and mirror dip with rear view mirror and door mirrors dimming function and no seat memory function, spec them separatly !</div><div> </div><div>Jamie</div>

Well ! Reading through the configurator descriptions, and comments on various forums, the implications are that if you do not have the memory Pack those functions are not available. Just ordered my F Type with the memory pack in order to have these!
