I also have a cheap led voltage meter permanently plugged into the accessory socket which confirms that the low voltage warning is over sensitive. Even with the message warning me to start the engine, the system volts are over 12v

'the system volts are over 12v' is a wide range. As shown below a healthy battery should be reading 12.7v whereas 12v is only 50% charged.
I can see why as the figure drops somewhere below say 12.4v or 12.5v JLR may have opted to flag up a low battery warning, even though the car starts well and it is after all a 12v battery

Just had my 4 year old battery replaced from new after registering all the faults reported above for a year. Particularly the stop start failed to work. Tried all the resets , trickle charge etc with limited success. I was advised that the newer batteries were solid state not like the old lead acid and would be lucky to get 3/4 years out of them before they start to run undervolt. Apparently Jags are sensitive to undervolts and maybe the cause for the warning lights. How true that advice is I don't know but all I can say is with new battery everything runs fine including start stop, intermittent wipers and warning lights all faults went in an instant.

My MY17 battery is still going strong so far (hope I haven't jinxed it!). I occasionally use a CTEK battery maintainer (not trickle charger, not the same thng at all) to keep it in perfect condition. Not sure an AGM battery is really "solid state", either.

Glad the new battery has sorted out your issues, anyway. Now you can enjoy the car!

Thanks everyone, great feedback!

For reference I have a 2013 V6 S, with an SVR front bumper :D

Can the BMS be reset at home or is this a dealer thing? Is there an ODB2 dongle and software/app? I have previously used BimmerCode on my wife’s old mini, wondering if there is an equivalent?

Thanks again all, great site and a wealth of knowledge!

Small world we both have 2013 V6S and SVR front end :)

This is what I use for diagnostics and error codes:

https://ljmcardiagnostics.co.uk/products/icarsoft-lr-v2-0-jaguar-professional-diagnostic-scan-tool-icarsoft-uk?variant=15166369628226

Purchased originally for a RR that I needed to clean up various persistent emissions error codes, but the software covers both Jaguar and LR
You can purchase cheaper elsewhere, but the oem site lists the functions.

Very easy to use - plug into the OBD port and select what you want to do. Powered by the car, so internal no batteries to worry about.
You can also plug it in to do instant and a trace of voltage to see what's going on

Just wanted to thank you again for your help on this. Managed to pick up a icarsoft LR V2 on eBay for £90, reset the battery and so far no message at all for the last few weeks. It was just a little thing, but something that annoyed me a lot!

This forum is awesome, great people and great advise!

Great to hear that you managed to buy the reader cheaply and it did the trick.
You also have the tool now to investigate if something else crops up or just check for peace of mind.

I’m now the new boy in the world of of a full BEV (BMW iX3 M Pro), solar power and Tesla batteries..
All makes 12v car batteries seem rather simplistic :)
