A BIG first in so many ways! Its the first time on a forum and I am extremely excited at the prospect of my first ever new car, my first Jag and what's even better its an S Coupe. Chosen by me for me - and I can't wait!!

Welcome Kaybee. Congrats on the order! I'm just over a month from receiving mine and I'm struggling, especially with the nice weather we're having. What spec did you go for?<div><br></div><div>Jon</div>

It's Dark Sapphire, Standard Roof , 19" Centrifuge Wheels - Silver, Performance heated seats, sports steering wheel, Visibility Pack, Powered Tailgate and everything else that comes as standard on the S<div> </div><div>And yours Wellbee?</div>

Hi Kaybee,<div><br></div><div>It is going to be great to start to see some Coupés on the forum, it has only been the drop tops until now (including me <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" />) </div><div><br></div><div>Are you going to use the car as an every day drive, or an occasional ?</div><div><br></div><div>Would be great to see some pictures, once she arrives !!</div><div><br></div><div>Best Regards</div><div>Jamie</div>

Hi Selborne,<div> </div><div>I thought that too! <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" /> Pleased to be one of the first forum Coupés - bound to be some friendly banter and comparisons no doubt.</div><div>With regards to use - somewhere between the two - I plan to use it as much as I can, but there may be occasions its best left in the garage!</div><div> </div><div>I will be pleased to show my pride an joy off! Watch this space - Not long now! </div><div> </div><div>Any other Coupé Cats out there????</div>

<div><br></div><div>Mine is Polaris White, Panoramic Roof, 20" Gloss Black Cyclone Wheels, Black Pack, Parking Pack, Sports Steering Wheel and Switchable Active Sports Exhaust. Is your delivery date the 15th May? When did you order?</div><div><br></div><div>I ordered on 28th Feb and originally got a bit shafted with a mid June build date, but I amended the spec a few weeks ago and when Jag sent over the amended factory sheet the planned build date had moved to 4th May! However the delivery date still said mid June and the salesman was unable to get clarification. Here's to hoping for May!</div><div><br></div><div>Jon</div>

<div><br></div><div>Jamie, out of interest how do you find your roadster with ground clearance? (i.e. speed bumps!) I'm hoping to use mine as a frequent drive (not quite daily) but therein lies the problem that in front of my office is a rather large hump. My 2013 Cayman used to clear it at low speeds but I'm a bit concerned about the F.</div>

Hi Wellzee,<div> </div><div>I have not had any trouble so far, but then again I am not sure that I have been over any large speed bumps, the normal size ones you find every where on the roads do not cause any problem. Also my local health club have a very steep drive onto the main road and this does not seem to course a problem. I think the clearances are industry standard, but would need to check. If your Cayman could do it, I think your F type will as well ! Might be worth a quick Google to compare the two cars ?</div><div> </div><div>Jamie</div>

Hi Wellzee,<div><br></div><div>You lucky fella..I have to wait a couple of months to get my drop top and try it over some 'sleeping policemen'!</div><div><br></div><div>Of course it goes without saying that the convertibles are faster, even more so if they are in red <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" alt="LOL" title="LOL" /></div><div><br></div><div>Look forward to seeing some photos...</div><div><br></div><div>Tel</div>

Tel your V8 will definitely be faster than my V6!! Am I right in thinking you went for Italian Racing Red? Saw one for the first time a few days ago and really loved the deep colour. Here's to hoping for a sunny August so you can get the top down!<div><br></div><div>Jon</div>

Jon,<div>I ordered mine early in the New Year and the last date I was given was 10th May!!! Oh the excitement - but it looks as though I am now going to be working away!<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley19.gif" height="17" width="17" border="0" alt="Cry" title="Cry" /></div><div>But if you think you will get yours mid May perhaps mine will be here next week!! </div>

<div><br></div><div>Kaybee no harm in asking your dealer to check the build dates again for you. I've asked mine to try and get final clarification for me but been waiting a few days now and had nothing back, frustrating. Fingers crossed for you its sooner!</div><div><br></div><div>Jon</div>

Hi kaybee<br /><br />Me too. I ordered my f type r stratus grey about a month ago. I'm so excited! My wife is getting annoyed with me now. I should be getting it on and around the 20th may. Apparently the dealer told me that if I'd ordered it now it wouldn't be ready till the end of sept!<edited><editID>Modernist</editID><editDate>2014-04-27 17:02:48</editDate></edited>
