On line service history?

GARETH

Is a main dealer under any obligation to update the OSH of a vehicle if it’s been serviced by an independent garage?

I used a local Jag specialist last year and I have a bill showing all their details, and items showing they were genuine Jaguar parts.

The next service is now due and I intend to use the same garage, but just interested to know if anyone has had there OSH updated?

In fact, is a full OSH of any value when you have a wallet full of service invoices?

A good question, I also would like to know.

My independent said normally they pay for a version of Topix which gives them access to OSH but with Covid they have let it lapse so may be some delay until they can load the service details.

Does anyone know if a Dealer or the CRC can correct an OSH entry?

My car had the 72 month service done before I collected it, but it’s recorded as 84 month on the OSH. Dealer says its auto-populated by the system based on the cars age and can’t be amended.

I emailed the CRC 3 weeks ago, but haven’t had a response.

Yes the OLSH can be amended by dealers. After 5 requests to have two of my services the dealer performed, input onto the system, the mileage on the last service was entered incorrectly. This was subsequently corrected!

Thanks Mick,

As luck would have it the CRC responded today and have made the change for me. It's a shame the Dealer couldn't be bothered.
