Hi all

I know this question has been asked many times but still getting the oil level not available message MY2015 V6

Have tried checking the car in the morning from cold

Have tried getting the instant reading from cold
Opening bonnet
Clicking start button
Foot off the break
Scrolling to vehicle info
Clicking oil level
Clicking cancel twice

Have even tried driving the car for 10 mins, parking and waiting over 15 mins and still same message

Worth noting that the oil level sensor was recently replaced due to a leak

Any ideas?

I would suggest that might be related to the recent oil level sensor replacement as you seem to be doing everything correctly.

It's worth trying repeatedly for some time after you've switched off. In my experience there seems to be a narrow time window between waiting for everything to settle down and obtaining a reading and the system deciding you didn't want to know after all!

There is the "instant read hack" - Pop the Bonnet - No need to "lift" - Switch on the ignition, navigate to "oil level" when entering that menu press "cancel button quickly twice" [on the steering wheel] - this will give an instant result.

that will teach me to jump straight to a reply without reading your whole post! .. I can now see you have tried this :? erm. I'm out of ideas sorry.

I can obtain the instant read-out, through the Vehicle Info - but it doesn’t involve popping the bonnet catch?
