Great trip tp Stratford upon Avon on saturday - sun shining and heads turning to see what was making the fabulous noise - it was the F Type of course <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" height="17" width="17" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><div> </div><div>Ammonite Grey <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/462/F_Type_11.JPG" height="525" width="700" border="0" /></div>

That wheel and colour combination looks great - now that the sun is out, it's just an excuse for everyone to get out there. I see that you've parked it miles from anyone else, so it really stands out - nice pic.<div> </div><div>Singh</div>

Is that the sun coming out 'oop North'? <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" /><div><br></div><div>Looks wonderful.</div>

we get it every now and then <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" height="17" width="17" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><div> </div><div>These bloomin F Types just get better every day - everywhere I go people just have positive things to say about the design and the noise they make.</div>

Fantastic looking colour scheme. Looks great with the chrome finish and wheels. <br />Did you get the chrome bonnet air intake vents or are they standard black? <br /><br />I went with the silver air intakes and it just finishes it off great and keeps the chrome theme consistent. <br /><br />Also, park well away from everyone else at the supermarket :) <br /><br />Jagman <br /><br /><br />

Thanks - thought about the chrome air intakes but went for the standard black in the end - <div></div><div>Supermarket car parks - don't get me started - <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley11.gif" border="0" alt="Dead" title="Dead" /></div>

On the other side of the Lake here. Waiting on my Ammonite Coupe R AWD to arrive. I also specced her out now knowing what Ammonite would look like in the flesh (except for gleaning what I could from pics of the upcoming XE). I went with the Black Pack, Redzone Duotone seats, "black" Diamond Turned Gyrodyne rims, etc.
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>So, I keep looking at your pics, trying to envision what she's going to look like. My main concern was that Stratus was too dark, and Lunar too light. Does the Ammonite appear to sit in the middle, or is it essentially Lunar by a different name with an ever so slightly different hue to justify the name change? My hope is it's a bit grittier, edgier than Lunar.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I sit here eagerly awaiting more pics, and that barnacle-laden ship to arrive.</DIV>

I collect my BRG S AWD on the 8th April. I must say ammonite is of magnificent gentlemanlike elegance. I'm sure with cirrus interior it would be The Colour for an F Type.... But no regrets for BRG

Hi Whirlinturbin,<div> </div><div>Your spec sounds awsome - I've put another pic below just to wet your appetite further - The ammonite does sit nicely between the lunar and the stratos - I paricularly like the undertstated nature of the colour which contrasts well with the noise the thing makes <img src="http://www.ftypeownersclub.co.uk/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" height="17" width="17" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /> yours will be even louder - which is great </div><div> </div><div>My family now refer the car as the 'beast' .....<img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/462/F_Type_10.JPG" height="525" width="700" border="0" /></div>

Thank you very much, OB123. She's beautiful and it looks like you're getting her plenty of sunshine. Enjoy in good health. Mine should be here any week now.<div><br></div><div>You couldn't possibly post too many pics of her, in various shades of lighting, so feel free to keep them coming...=)</div>

couple more photos <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" height="17" width="17" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><div> </div><div>600 miles and she's driving like a dream </div><div><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/462/F_Type_9.JPG" height="525" width="700" border="0" /><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/462/F_Type_7.JPG" height="525" width="700" border="0" /></div><div> </div>

Nice parking! I'm having the same problem.<br /><br />Just wait until someone decides to park up on your driver's side. <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

ohh... That is lovely!<div><br></div><div>Great choice of colours and chrome.. <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /></div><div><br></div><div>Jagman</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div>

Thanks guys - I'm still struggling with the whole parking issue tho - luckily my local Waitrose has a huge carpark <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" height="17" width="17" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /> maybe one day I'll be brave enough to park it between two other cars ..... or maybe not

Do not, I repeat do not park between other cars, the monkeys will bent you !! always go to the end of the row or find a space which is sideways on so nobody can park next to you.<div> </div><div>I had it happen to me with my last Jag an XFR, it cost me a lot of time, money and heartache to get it sorted !!</div><div> </div><div>Be careful out there !</div><div>Jamie</div>

That looks stunning! I was wondering what the colour would be like in the flesh. I have stratus and think the ammonite is nicer. More steely! Very Aston Martin dare I say.

Thanks - must admit I do love it - have now done 1000 miles so decided I could open her up a bit - blimey these cars are quick <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" height="17" width="17" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><div></div><div></div>spent a very satisfying Sunday morning washing her in the sunshine - sometimes its the simple pleasures in life
