New owner questions

New owner here coming from an XE.

Speed Limit Indicator

On my XE the speed limit was displayed on the screen between the revcounter and the speedo. Is this possible to do on a 2015 plate V6S?

I see the current limit is displayed on the map view of the satnav but I tend not to use the in-car satnav preferring to use my iphone. It's also not so easy to see on the centre screen.

InControl

The previous owner has not released the car from their account. Does anyone know if a dealer will do it for free?

Phone Mounts

Anyone got a good recommendation for a phone mount? I think I've seen a pic where there was a mount connected around the grab handle; anyone know what this might be?

I can't remember if the speed limit feature existed on my 65 plate. If it does itll be an option on the steering wheel menus, the same as in your XE. I didn't use it and don't remember seeing it
.
Any Jaguar dealer will be able to remove the previous owner from Incontrol, if you show them the V5C and your ID proving it's yours. It's very quick for them to do. I didn't get charged. Alternatively you can email Jaguar customer services and ask.

Phone holder you’re thinking of is from Arid Innovations. I have one and it is excellent for me.

The speed limit feature depends on the car having been specified with the forward facing camera option. It wasn't optioned on my MY18 R AWD but I don't miss it.

thanks all!

so I assume then that the speed limit indicated on the satnav is based on the map data which could be considerably out of date :(

If my car doesn't have auto folding mirrors, can they be folded manually? They are electrically adjustable but do I just "push"? Or is it not possible to fold them in?

Not cheap, but they are good

Got a front left TPMS monitoring failure tonight, then it went, then it came back, then it went. Just one of those things? Tyre seems fine.

I had the same problem, TPMS regularly throwing errors, spent a load of time replacing sensors.

I solved it by unplugging the cheap USB adaptors, I had seen elsewhere that some poorly manufactured ones have the potential to interfere and simply unplugging them led to my problem being solved (after a few miles to clear and recalibrate).

Try this before you spend on a new module.
