Good evening all, I have enjoyed reading the posts on here and they have been extremely helpful in my decision to take the plunge and purchase my very first Jaguar. I look forward to many more postings.

Welcome aboard. I joined a couple of years ago and the collective group has been very helpful. I’m on F-Type number 2 already !

Good luck with your search
Just about to buy one today.
Asked on other post but any help with warranty would be great.
Read some good stuff but also bad stuff about not paying out .
Any advice much appreciated

Well, I brought her, 2016 F type R in Dark Sapphire with 30k on the clock. Bit of a patchy service history with 2019 & 2020 missing (not all too surprising due to lockdown). Paid a bit on top for Gap and Alloy Insurance and 42 months warranty. Shes just had a 6 year service by Inchcape Derby (09/02/2023), so I know everything that should have been done in the past has now been done.
As a bonus, the wife is willing to share me with my new love. 😁😁

Beautiful looking car. Congratulations. Always had good service & outcomes from Inchcape Jaguar Derby 👍

Thanks for all the positive comments guys. Just one question, do you, like me, have a constant smile on your face when you're driving yours? When I park up, I find myself constantly looking back at it.

That's perfectly normal! You've fitted in straight away! Your grin muscles will get used to it, and strengthen nicely.

Ha! This is perfectly normal* behaviour!
* terms and conditions apply, normal means you are a car enthusiast, your wife/partner/other half/family/friends might think you are mad…but they are wrong

Yep!! 😁😁😁

That really is a very nice and distinctive colour, not seen one in the flesh. Does it change a lot with the light / shade? I find that with my IRR especially when trying to take a photo it can come out looking quite different colours from different angles :D

Yes mate. In low light or cloudy conditions it looks really dark, almost black in a photo. When the suns on it, it does look a lot lighter and really vibrant.
