New MY18 F-Type R picked up today

Yes ... That has been the trouble with the F Type a bit hit and miss . I would love to place an order for a SVR . I need to feel reassured that Jaguar are taking QC more seriously. Until now they seem complacent with success or just unwilling or unable to address issues.<div> </div><div> </div>
 
Great looking car - please give some feedback on MY18. I rejected my MY17 amd am now waiting for a new build so any comments greatfully received.<br>

I was near the Brentwood dealer earlier and popped in to see the MY18 changes close up. V6 Nose looks much better than in the photos. Looks good to me, the black pieces are glossy rather than the matt I was expecting. I'd have no hesitation in going for one. They didn't have a V8 but the pictures above also look better than the press stuff I'd seen. More of a subtle change than a facelift.

Yet to see the adaptive element and the auto high beam assist that I specced but I suspect they will be good.<br /><br />The InControl Apps threw a little wobbly this morning and wouldn't connect to my phone but stopping the Spotify app on my phone sorted it. It's almost as if it doesn't like connecting if Spotify is already running on the phone. Love the new infotainment in general though and suspect that it will only get better once the data sim arrives.<br /><br />Got home from work this evening with a big grin. I may be imagining it but I think the exhaust is even louder than the old car in Dynamic. Thunderous and tuneful! 😄<br /><br />Happy bunny so far.<br /><br />Seb
