Afternoon all,<br /><br />Thought some of you might be interested to see pics of my MY18 Ultra Blue F-Type R that I picked up this morning to replace my MY17 IRR F-Type R. Before I picked the car up, I'd only seen the Jaguar pic of a white F-Type R and the configurator in MY18 spec. Personally, I'm a fan.<br /><br />Initial thoughts are that the infotainment is a good leap forward even without the SIM installed which is due to be delivered this week. Also, like the look of the black sills and I find the new seats to be more comfortable. <br /><br />As others have said about MY18s, I am a little disappointed to lose the centre storage but hey, definitely a first world problem! <br /><br />Have yet to try out the AWD in anger (the IRR one was RWD) and obviously haven't used the LED lights yet. <br /><br />Apart from that, it's a very familiar place to be but I love the Ultra Blue.<br /><br />Anyway, here goes:<br /><br /><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/716/IMG_4261.JPG" border="0" /><br /><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/716/IMG_4263.JPG" border="0" /><br /><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/716/IMG_4273.JPG" border="0" /><br /><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/716/IMG_4275.JPG" border="0" />

Very nice Seb. <br /><br />Was chatting about you to a mutual friend just yesterday evening. Ultra blue really suits the car, it looks great. I'd be going for that colour as IRR and Firesand are no more. I'm hoping to see a MY18 model at a Jag meet at some point.<br>

<br /><br />I was a bit concerned about the nose having not seen it but pleasantly surprised (and therefore relieved!).<br /><br />I got my last two Jags from Marshalls but decided to go to Westover this time as I felt the service was improved.<br /><br />Seb

Really happy with it! 😄 <br /><br />Wish I'd known to order a sim earlier as there seems to be some good functionality when connected. For the MY18 orderers, I went for this deal which includes 12Gb data to be used over 12 months. Didn't thing £2 a Gb was too bad and I suspect that the time will be up before the data is.<br /><br />MyMemory 3 Sim Card<br /><br />Hope that helps anyone with a MY18 on order.<br /><br />Seb
Simply stunning looking F-type ... Ultra with black pack is a great combo, and until mentioned later in your thread the MY18 front end hadn't even caught my eye ... whereas the neat black sill extensions had ... do we know if these are the original MY 13/14 units?<br /><br />Congrats! I was definitely going to get the black pack but was undecided about whether to get the body coloured sills or not (ie the Black Pack or Black Design Pack). Very glad I saved the money because I love the black and blue contrasting bits. As for the MY18 front end, as I say, I am relieved! The configurator really makes the front end look more blunt than it is!<br /><br />Seb
Great a New Guinea pig....... Will be Interested to see if any of the alarmingly regular issues have been addressed on the 2018 MY .. Rejected my coupe last year and I was going to Order a 2018MY but decided to hold off after seeing that the regular common issues were still being reported by owners.<div> </div><div>Nice Car Hope you enjoy .....</div><div> </div><div>Personally I believe JLR got the front bumper design right first Time . I also Viewed the 400 Edition at the dealers and although nice it was not for me.</div><div> </div><div>Hopefully you won't be too accepting or forgiving and will keep this Forum updated with all if any issues that arise with your 2018MY</div>

LOVE that colour! Also I quite like the black sills. I thought about getting mine wrapped in gloss black but went with paint protection film instead. I don't regret it as the number of tar spots on them is colossal!<div>I do however quite like the looks of the new infotainment system. Mine is the old old one - but it still works fine and the sat nav is fine so I'll probably never be worried about it enough to change.</div><div><br></div><div>P.s. get the bonnet vents wrapped or hydrodipped in gloss black. I have come to this from a MY17 RWD F-Type R and I have to say that I had no problems whatsoever with it. I'm clearly hoping that this one will be the same!<br /><br />Seb
