Evening all, I'm off to look at a 17 plate V6 R-Dynamic Convertible tomorrow to sit with my 300Sport F-Pace and Lotus Evora.

So first quick question, checking the online Jag Service History (I've done a car vertical check which gave me the Chassis number), the last service was the 2yr/32000 miles one done in 2019 when it was 2 years old but only at 10k , then no Jag service history. The car is just at 34000 miles now. Do these have the on-condition service indicator which would suggest it needs the next one at 48k or should it have been done at 3 years... The F-Pace for instance is in the on condition reminder....

Welcome to the forum! V6 service schedule is every 12 months or 16000 miles - whichever comes first. So it should have had a service every year since 2019. Hopefully the one you are looking at has some proof of a non Jag service history in the recent years. Is it from a main dealer? If so then they will still give a full used warranty and service it before the sale. Good luck.

@Madlil , thanks for that , tbh it surprises me that they are still on annual servicing as the F Pace and my previous XE are on on condition . It's not at a Main dealer just a local place ... the service history might give me some negotiating room if its not complete.

Hopefully the dealer has some non Jag service paperwork for you to see, however with GDPR rules, many dealers shred all old documentation. Hope it goes well..

Irrespective of mileage, it should have had at least up to, and including, the 96,000 miles / 72-month service by now and possibly the 84-month service too, if it was an early '17 car. From the Jag service history site, take a look at what services the car should have had by now and check that list against the service records the selling garage has for it.

From the service history portal:
click Service Information
click Service Type drop-down box and select each year after the 32,000 miles / 24 months service and make a note of the service sheet items between the lines "Carry out vehicle inspection checks as documented in the WSM instructions. Where available also perform an eVHC." and "Carry out road test as documented in the WSM instructions."

That will then show you exactly what should have been done according to Jaguar's schedule. Brake fluid is not necessarily essential every 2 years as an indy could well have checked the fluid quality and said it's fine.

That's exactly what mine does! Changing it every 2 years seems excessively wasteful to me.

All , thanks for the responses , I've decided not to pull the trigger on the initial car as there were too many unknowns for a 30k car including an aftermarket exhaust , unclear service history and it wasnt an S ..... However I've booked in to look at another unmolested V6S in triple black with full Jag service history tomorrow .... And put a holding deposit down after the dealer sent me a walk around video .... Got a feeling Ill not be negotiating a reduction in price with the speed I went from recieving the video to paying the holding fee.....

Oh well....

Dreams can be costly...

So the deed is done I've pulled the trigger on a 2016 V6S Triple black ( though that might have to change at some point). Some tlc needed before it's mine (minor wheel scuffs , some paint and a thorough cleaning) with a target of having it delivered before next weekend ... Now to start a proper read of the tech threads as I'm gonna need to get Android Auto into that 8" head unit...
