New facelift model

Had a look at the new facelift f type r at my local dealer today. Must say I thought the new sports seat felt more comfortable. I don't think it looks much different with the new front bumper. They no longer have the high level storage compartment between the seats. No awd badge on the back now , I thought it was rwd at first. Salesman said they need more used ones for stock.

You didn't get any pictures did you?<div><br></div><div>I am waiting for mine to be delivered (also an R) and haven't seen any pics other than the Jag release one in white and the configurator (let alone in the flesh obviously).</div><div><br></div><div>Seb</div>

<blockquote> No , but it's in lookers west London <br />I sure other dealers will have them very soon. </blockquote> <br /><br />No worries, thanks for the info. I'm wondering if mine will be the first I see. Awaiting transport to the dealer apparently.<br /><br />Seb

That net was on old cars too - its some option to get the high compartment. My 2014 car has the net.....

<div> </div><div>Mine has the deep recess, so presumably the first owner ticked another option ... its currently home to one of my daughters teddy's ... she says its there to keep an eye on Daddy and is a good luck charm to keep me safe ... </div>

<div><br></div><div>Thats great - 3 seater!</div>

I got a look at the new 400 sport in the local dealers while I was booking in for a service. Have to say, I was rather underwelmed....<br><br>New sports seat look great and indeed are more comfortable and I dare bet they shed a good bit of weight. But the rest of the car was left wanting... All the front splitter, louvers, side skirts etc are done in a bland grey plastic, which in my opinion looks cheap. Wheels painted in a very dull plastic-y grey to match, and for an extra 20BHP which you could get from a £500 remap... I don't think i'll be upgrading.<br>

<div><br></div><div>Don't worry Chammers... beauty is in the eye of the beholder!</div><div><br></div><div>I personally don't like the facelift either (especially the front and lights), hence why I'm looking at used market. But I'm sure once I see a few driving about (or see some pics up here) my view will 'soften'. </div>

OK Basher - here are a couple of pics - tell me you don't like these! <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /><div><br></div><div>But you are quite right to say beauty is in the eye of the beholder <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley32.gif" border="0" alt="Clap" title="Clap" /><br><div><br></div><div><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/1000/F-Type_400_Sport_Toronto.jpg" height="393" width="700" border="0" /><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/1000/F-Type-400-Sport-2.jpg" height="463" width="700" border="0" /><br></div></div>

Not as much as an ultra blue BDE. <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" alt="LOL" title="LOL" /><div><br></div><div>I did configure a 400 sport in this colour, but it's the plasticy looking front air intakes that I don't like. New lights and sports seats I'm sure will be a grower though.</div><div><br></div><div> </div>

Saw a MY18 Coupe in the dealers waiting to be collected. Dark Blue with black interior. New front end looked fine but I think thats because it doesnt really stand out on a dark colour. Not so sure I would like on lighter options ... <div> </div><div>Jaguar need to take note of Audi/BMW front end treatments .. a lot more of their aero stuff is part of the bumper rather than plastic add ons ... </div><div> </div><div>Inside looked same apart from seats ...</div>

Can someone (only those who have seen on in the flesh!) say something really positive about the new models........please! <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" alt="Cry" title="Cry" /> <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" alt="Cry" title="Cry" /><div><br></div><div>I had originally ordered the S Type Coupe 380BHP version in polaris white with a whole host of extras. Then Jaguar announced the changes and I was adamant that I had to have the latest model (it's a refresh so surely it has to be an improvement was my thinking!) even though I hadn't seen one. Playing with the configurator the 400 Sport became a no-brainer, because to get the extras that come on that as standard would have cost a shed load more money. Only disappointment was the limited colour choice - my original preference solid white wasn't available and I do not like the metallic white so went for Nimbus Silver.</div><div><br></div><div>I like all the pics I have seen of the 400 Sport, but I am in the Far East until April 6th and picking my car up on April 7th (NB I am managing to get it registered next week to avoid VED changes) and still looking forward to it, but would welcome some encouragement!!!!</div>

I looked around a black 400 sport in the dealership, as I mentioned before the fantastic seats , also I like the yellow pipping. Fantastic looking car so just look forward to the 7th and enjoy <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
