New buyer - mileage discrepancy

Hi everyone!

New to the forum and looking to buy my first f type. Very excited and have my eye on a MY16 British design edition with around 29,000 miles. Plate is GL16PBV. Deposit is down but is fully refundable. Buying from a dealer but still ran an HPI check for peace of mind, which has done the complete opposite and caused panic. Large mileage discrepancy found, screenshots attached. Is this a mistake, or something to be worried about. Surely it can't have jumped 45k miles in 7 months! Any advice on what to do next would be appreciated!

I would suspect that 67,000 figure is an error. Firstly, it's a suspiciously round number, secondly the increase in mileage is consistent and steady if that figure is ignored. It would be worth checking the online service history on https://osh.jaguar.com/ by inputting the vehicle's VIN no. to see what that shows.
 
Would you be able to find out what the events/reasons were which occurred 08/03/2021, 20/03/2021 and 10/03/2023, respectively?
It sounds like ‘lazy’ recording by folk in the sales networks. It might even have been associated with a PCP deal?

I’d be inclined to place more store on the MOT figures. Or, service records as mentioned by @NavigatorNI 👍
 
Car 38501.

The vehicle has been on and off multiple private plates including, T70DPB, A8JOE and 731CL over it's previous 5 owners. Although at the time of the queried record, the car appears to have been SORN as the private plate was removed and added to a BMW Z4 but none of the dates match.

Getting the record investigated and corrected would be important to me as others will find the same issues when you come to move it on.
 
Looks to be an error on the HPI database as blip is so high in 8 months.
I'd give them a call on 0113 222 2035 (weekdays only) and see if they can shed light on it as it needs to be clarified and ideally corrected before purchase.
If they won't talk to you then I'm sure they will to the dealer as he'll hold the V5C and other paperwork
 
Thanks for the replies everyone! HPI are going to remove that reading. MOT/service history is all in check and looks like a well looked after car, even with quite a few owners. Don't see any reason not to go an purchase it!! Thanks again
