New 400 Sport member

Hi everyone,

I am Jonathan. I'm picking up my new F-Type 400 Sport tomorrow. To say i'm a tad excited is an understatement!

I drove a Nissan Navara for 11 years until a few months ago when it decided to take its own life and break in half. Not having a daily car has been very difficult especially when im forced to take public transport. I cant believe how expensive trains are these days! Anyway, I was in the market for new motor, i've had my eye on an M4 for a while.

The wife wanted to check out the F-Pace so we called into Jaguar Belfast (good bunch of people, not your typical sleazy car sales type of person) for a noise and ended up booking a test drive with an F-Type over a weekend. I completely fell in love with the car, i've never been more surprised and impressed by a car before. Maybe it was because it wasn't on my radar thus I had no real expectations.

I took a high spec M4 out a few weeks later and it really didn't compare. It wasn't all that different form our 430, certainly not an additional £20/30K's worth. There was no sense of occasion, no drama, no wow factor. I test drove a few others cars, again just to compare, a Golf R, RS6 Avant and an Audi S5. Nothing excited me quite like the F-Type. Dam you Jaguar.

Needless to say i fired a deposit down and bob's your uncle a few long months later she's ready to collect tomorrow (Friday 23rd). Ill add some pics tomorrow

This is really exciting - I have been to look at the 400 today (in black) and can feel myself being just days away from putting down a deposit. I'd love to hear back from you on your first few days of ownership so please post again with all the good news to inspire me to go & do it!!!!!

Hey everyone, apologies for my slowness in responding, i have been preoccupied driving what can only be described as the most AMAZING car i have ever driven or owned!!! I wanted to also thank everyone for their kind words and support.

The past few days have been some of the most enjoyable i have experienced. My wife said she has never seen me this excited or happy before, not even on when she said 'YES' to marring me or on our our wedding day lol.

I have found every excuse possible to head out in the car, i even purposely forget a few critical items during our weekly shop just so i head back out in the car. Every time i walk up to the car i have a grin ear to ear, its such a beautiful machine, personally i think it looks better than a 911. I can honestly say i adore every part, piece and curve of the car even its super small boot, which by the way i love opening and closing.

This car makes me feel special, happy and excited every time i see it, approach it, start it and drive it. The 400 sport looks as special on the inside as it does on the outside. I've test driven a lot nice motors recently and nothing comes close. The looks this car gets are fantastic, adding to it's specialness. A friend asked me yesterday how i would feel if a Ferrari pulled up beside me? Honestly, i'd wave over, nod the head, smile and accelerate off still feeling very special.

You may notice in a few images, i had the back and side windows tinted to match the pano roof. Let me know what you think of it? One feature i totally love is the remote start, i paid £500 to have one installed, during winter it was a god send. I cant wait for the snow lol.

We all know you feel, these are very special looking, feeling and widely appreciated motor cars ....

I saw a black one recently and loved the co-ordinated sills, wheels, window surrounds and front lip, however on that car the side vents, rear valance and bumper bar were gloss black. Yours look to be the same ... Is the another option pack just for the 400 or simply a trick of the lighting in the photos ... On the black one it spoiled the overall look

Ref the tints side and rear, I've been thinking of this but will probably go a shade lighter and do all sides as to my eye it looks a little unfinished just having the quarter light ....
