Sad, I know, but I like it! Guess I should try protecting it with a patch of xpel?</span></div>

Dammit, man, from the title I thought you'd totalled your car!<div><br></div><div>Great stuff though, you lucky wotsit...from the fact you had a brochure and model to hand, I'm guessing this wasn't a chance encounter...or do you always carry those around in the boot just in case?!</div>

Well done Tel !! I bet you'll not forget that experience in a hurry.<br>Thanks for sharing <img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" alt="Thumbs Up" title="Thumbs Up" /> Great to see.<br><br>Apologies for being nosy, but how the heck did that meeting come about?<br>

Thats amazing!<br>Where on earth did you run into him?<div><br></div><div>Is the aero kit you mention just the design/ sport design pack they now offer? Or something different?</div>

Blimey!!! I thought an F Type had gone to heaven!! What an experience it must have been, wow!!! Thanks for sharing.

We were invited to a Jaguar and Ted Baker function night. We mainly went to see the new F-Pace first edition and sup a few glasses of shampers!<div><br></div><div>Ian and the man behind the Ted Baker company were the guest speakers. After some emails and arm twisting, we rendevous'd in a basement car park for a chat and some autographing of the car, a 16MY brochure and a die-cast model F.</div><div><br></div><div>Smashing chap, and had a great chat about the F-Type and its' variants. Wonderful experience, and we were well chuffed. </div><div><br></div><div>The 'aero kit' as I call it is the two front valence 'winglets' and the parts that run along either side belwo the sill at foot level. Being the R 2016My, these are colour coded from the factory, but we covered ours in Piano Black wrap followed by another wrap in self healing xPel clear. It makes the car look a lot 'thinner' and overall much more pleasing to the eye. The 2015MY V8S we had previously had gloss black coloured kit, so we knew what it would look like 'ish.</div><div><br></div><div>See below our standard V8S:</div><div><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/332/DSC_0331.jpg" height="465" width="700" border="0" /><br></div><div><br></div><div>..and our standard V8R (Looks quite 'Fat' with the colour coded kit):</div><div><br></div><div><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/332/DSC_0057M.jpg" height="426" width="640" border="0" /><br></div><div><br></div><div>Ours are now Piano Black to match the bonnet louvers and side vents:</div><div><img src="http://www.ftypeforums.co.uk/images/converted_files/uploads/332/DSC_0005.jpg" height="426" width="640" border="0" /><br></div>

Excellent!<br />Thanks for the photos!<br /><br />I actually want to do the something similar on my v6s- get the aero kit painted black! It looks great matching the wheels and other details!<edited><editID>SammyV6S</editID><editDate>2016-01-26 21:16:35</editDate></edited>

<div><br></div><div>You're welcome. Sorry if I confused...Ours were originally Black on the first car. The second car, everything is body colour, so we decided to colour them Black as it makes the car look not so 'fat'.</div><div><br></div><div>If I were you, I would wrap instead of painting. It's cheaper, and if you want to revert at a later date, it's easy to remove.</div>

Here's a very recent short film where Sir Ian tells the the story behind his success.....A very grounded and down to earth fellow he is.<br>A fellow Coventry (Lanchester) car design student...I have at least that in common with him!<br><br><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/N4dwrNN95vo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><br>
