My car projects

I bought my car in July 2024 and I am very fussy with all my past cars as they are spoiled with being well serviced and maintained. As now retired engineer I have always kept full history of all of the parts purchased and jobs done on every and recorded and photos taken.
I find this helps to have a file of a complete history when I plan to sell my cars. I have owned several Lotus cars over the years and with having all the history the cars were sold as soon as advertised due to having project files on the main Lotus forums. I will adding details and photos as and when I have done something for your interest.

When I first got the car I removed all the under trays, cleaned the chassis and wax oiled all the subframes and chassis. Cleaned and refitted the under trays and added copper slip to all the fixing screws.

I liked the chrome exhaust tips on the car but with the car having the black pack was missing something with the chrome tips and the size was to small in relation to the rear valance. I eventually found these Akrapovic tips that were a good fitment over the standard chrome tips. I am always getting asked about the new tips of other F-Type owners as they agree with my fitment.

Have almost identical tips and they do look great, but if you hear a strange "rattle" after they've had a few heat cycles it's because the rivets have loosened and the outer sleeve starts to clang against the inner. Easily rectified with some careful persuasion :)

I have also fitted front grill surround and side sills with PPF (paint protection film) from Aliath Cotford St Luke Taunton Somerset TA4 1JQ. I would add photos but you cant see any different and its top quality film from Germany.

Same question from me, plus are the tips from Akrapovic or an “alternative supplier”

Thanks, both a nice touch in my opinion, mines lunar grey with a black pack so the tips would be a very good match, Viezu want over £400 for their afterburner tips, which is a bit rich for my taste
