MOT station you can trust please

Not sure if there is anyone around my area (Daventry, Northants.), but wondering where you go for an MOT.
This is the first time I'll be taking my beloved F-Type for an MOT and, considering I've not had great experiences in my area with previous cars, I'm looking for recommendations please for somewhere you can trust to take care.
On two occasions I've had the front spoiler scraped by testers who don't take sufficient care with sports cars when driving on and off the ramp (discovered when too late).
As you're not allowed near the car to see what's going on at most garages, ideally a camera and a monitor in the waiting area would be good.
Would travel 20 or 25 miles (any excuse for a drive).
Thanks.

Last year I took mine to Halfords and was quite impressed. The tester asked if I'd swap it for his BMW M3, so he liked his cars and didn't do anything to spoil mine! Also, I could wander round to the area by the bays so could keep an eye on what was going on.

In the good old days I often stay in the car operating things for the tester.

Years ago someone suggested going to a test station that didn't do repairs ( to avoid that thought that they're looking for business ..)

Nowadays, with more money than sense, I get the dealer to do the mot with the annual service.

I’ve used both Jaguar main dealer & Jaguar independent for MOT. Never any issue. As Paul, always service & MOT as same time.

If you don’t mind a run up the M1, Elite & Performance Jag’s (Derby) are excellent. A couple of F-Type friends, in Coventry, use Dan too. Highly recommended 👍

I just go to anywhere that isn't set up to do any work other than the MOT itself.

So they have nothing to benefit from making up faults.

Many councils have MOT centres which are open to the public. I have used them and found them to be really efficient. The big plus is that they don't do repairs so there is no agenda.

Another vote for Halfords from me and it does seem odd to be saying so, given the muppets in the retail stores when you see them looking to fit wipers and batteries. Took the Evoque and a faultless service.
Owned by Halfords but in reality a separate division and our local seems to be car enthusiasts

F Type will be going there when needs doing, although I've never had an issue with any mot station is a lifetime with everything from ultra low sports cars to off road comp. vehicles with complex 4WD systems (cannot use normal brake testers) and run of the mill daily drivers

I’ve also heard positive things about Halfords recently and heard one of their Execs on the radio the other day saying how they were trying to attract back older workers which might explain things.
Not sure about servicing my F-type but might try them next time for the mot.

Thanks everyone, appreciate your replies.
It seems that Halfords (surprisingly!), Elite & Performance Jags or Council testing centres seem to be the recommendations, so will take my pick.

Just to update... in the end I went for a local MOT station with top reviews online.
Mr Tyre in Warwick did the job at just £29 and they have a viewing window.
I found the tester very respectful of that fact that it's not just a run-of-the-mill car and even said what a good car it was - even though, unfortunately, he spotted a nail in a recently fitted tyre
Isn't that always the way!
I would highly recommend Mr Tyre branches wherever you are, as I also take my partner's Clio to them.
