MoT day

Glad that the car passed through with no issue, no roller brake test to stress the diff.

Really pleased how it still looks, over one year on from having cross braces changed.

My MoT local garage does not do the brake test on the rollers on cars with LSDs. Puts extra strain on the LSD which is a well known weak point on the F-Type, so he just runs it up the road with the old fashioned meter in the car.

@Rob, where did you take it? PM if you don't want to say here.

Mines due 20th Nov and was going to take NA down to Matford for the last cross brace to be put on and get it MOT'd. That way her ladyship gets a shopping trip and I get car-oggling in the big Porsche dealership!
It's been done down there from birth...I haven't a clue how they test the brakes!!! I will check though.

Hi Tel,
Guy (his name) up at White Horse Garage.

Small world, I bought a car from there about 6 years ago!

PS they were good to deal with

Had my first MOT earlier in the year along with service. The dealer used 3rd party for MOT. The next morning I got the low battery warning. MOT guys must have accessed the OBD port. Will do the battery disconnect after next MOT. Annoying.

Complain to the dealer so he knows there's a problem. If Jaguar gets enough reports they may have to admit there's an issue.

Another common issue, I warned my tester of this issue, he does normally access the OBD port when doing MoTs as it controls the revs for the emission test, but it can be done at idle on petrol engines so he doesn't access it on mine. It's only really necessary on diesels, but your general MoT place is unlikely to differentiate.

Another pearlescent white🙄
Quality and spec over colour I guess.

Wrap it any colour you want Rob...IRR perhaps ;-)

Well it was my second choice after Carmine red, so okay with Carrara white and HWMBO always wants a white car. Interior with Alcantara and white dials and chrono pack does look the dogs danglies.
