Just thought I'd say hi.

Just bought a new F-Type cabriolet. I collect in 2 weeks :)

V6s. Salsa Red, Gloss black cyclone 20" wheels. Visibility pack, mirror pack, dynamic i pack, performance seats, meridian 380 w sounds.....

Very exciting, I've never owned a cabriolet or a jag before. Any issues so far?

Hi Daytona,

Welcome to the Forum.

You have the longest two weeks of your life to get through !! I know what my 3 month wait was like.

I too have a V6S in Salsa Red, but with the silver wheels and chrome pack on the exterior, otherwise same packs with the same Sound system, which is awesome, however you will never have it switched on, as all you will want to do is listen to the exhaust note !! Trust me ! Once you get through the running in period, then the full revs can be heard, wow. The best thing is the way you can play the exhaust note, you have probably heard all the sounds on you tube, with the snort as the car changes gear, but when you get yours, place in semi auto, pull away and change gear like a manual, ie, give a slight lift on the throttle just before the gear change, this creates a wonderful manual driving sound, but also adds a 'crack' between gear changes. All the pops, cracks and snorts can be tuned to different volumes and frequencies, buy regulating the throttle in different ways, as it is a computer programme and constant you can get the same noises over and over, just great !!

Absolutely fabulous car, I cannot say more. The presence on the road is stunning (my wife will not go out in it without her make-up on), enjoy,

Best Regards

Jamie

Cheers Selbourne :)

Yes the wait is killing me :( the experience of driving the car is what sold it for me. I drove loads of cars before buying but it was only the jag that I reckon the thrill will never wear off as it's got a real sense of theatre to it.

Roll on April 14th!

Looks absolutly fabulous, of course they look best in Salsa Red ! long list of extras, I regret not ordering the full electric seat adjustment, so you can alter the position of the side balsters, otherwise I am chuffed !

Have you had a chance to play with the exhaust sounds as I explained previously ? The crack when you lift slightly between changes is awesome

Enjoy

Thanks :)

Oh yes, I've not found all the combinations of noises yet, I'm sure. I love the snort when in manual in dynamic mode as well on the upshift.

I love how it cackles too.

I found a quiet road yesterday and tried launch control. I tried in but forgot I was still in manual so initially I was sat with the brakes on and the rears spinning I didn't realise you have to be in D, but soon worked that out too!
