Model car to complement the real thing

I love collecting model cars and since getting the F Type, I just must have a model F type.
Do any of ther other owners have a scale model (or even intend getting one) to complement their prized joy ?

Finding a "good" scale model is difficult !

By far, the best on the market is the Autoart 1:18 scale. It's very expensive though.

Jaguar does one for £100. ;)
I'd thought about it, but it'd be a disappointment compared to the real thing .... :D

The Jaguar Model is indeed cheaper, but it's made by Minichamps and doesn't have opening doors/bonnet etc.
The Autoart is by far the BEST and most realistic model of the F Type available. It's about $160 ex. postage. I was after one that had a variant with a rear fixed wing - like mine - but that's being a bit too specific.

This is the one I'm going for - in white

I have a 1:43 Convertible in Salsa Red with Black Pack and Black Seats. I was bought it so i'm not sure where it was from but it's a perfect match for my car. They usually seem to have silver wheels on the models.

Pleased to report I finally got the auto art model and it's really great to be able to hold an F type in ones hand.

Doesn't match my car 100% . Doesn't have the rear wing but I'm nitpicking

I just went for the small Triple 9 model.

At 1:43rd scale It's not fantastic on detail but it has the same wheels, paint colour, trim features and Perfomance seats as my car so matches perfectly.

...I do wonder how many of the "limited edition" they've sold though

I have the Jaguar, Jaguar. It's not the best reproduction, but it's good enough.

Got it autographed by Ian Callum when I had the full scale car autographed amongst other things as well! (He's my hero!).

@ Tel,
He's my hero too (Ian). IMO, he highhandedly transformed an entire company. Let's not forget Rattan Tata though- who provided the funding to Ian to "do his thing".
Take a picture, I'd like to see his signature.

I just noticed - quite coincidentally, my Autoart model is right hand drive - which is what I have here in SOuth Africa.

errrm currently I only have 1.48 scale war bird models .. any one interested ? , as my 1st year apprenticeship was in the RAF
but love models, those rose tinted glasses Air fix days in my youth

The logic of getting a model of this car, or any sports/exotic if you own it is that - well you just must.
The F Type model I bought is the most expensive I've paid for a single die cast model and when complained to the guy that it's so expensive, his reposonse was "yeah but you have a real one", which I might add is the logic I used to justify the purchase.

I'm glad - you got the Autoart right ?
It's great isn't it ?

You get to take in the beauty of the F Type in a single scene.

Hi, Yes it's the Autoart. Without doubt the best (and probably most expensive). It really feels like an authentic model rather than a toy. I particularly liked the fact it has the white roof, like mine, rather than the black panoramic one.

White roadster. A bit small though.
