Mixing tyres

I have a P450 AWD. Yesterday I had a puncture on the front and both fronts are ready. The rears have around 4-5mm left and are in good shape. I really want to ditch the Pzeros but cant justify trashing two good rears just yet.
I know all the correct stuff about not mixing tyres front to rear on an AWD car and if it was RWD I would definitely take the risk however bearing in mind the AWD are rear bias most of the time should I, would you take the risk and put PS4's or SC7's or the front axel with PZeros on the rear? Its under warranty so that's my real concern. I know I shouldn't but would any of you bearing in mind the plan is to swap the rears in 3-4k miles time to match?
 
Mixing tyres front to rear shouldn't really present a problem provided they're not wildly different spec. Mixing on the same axle, however, is definitely a bad idea. I've been running different tyres front and rear for 3 years now, with the fronts still on the original P-Zero, albeit I'm RWD not AWD.

I would wait for some more educated folk to comment, but I really can't see why there would be a problem since the AWD is, as you say, predominantly sending power to the rear anyway.
 
Driving around day to day is perfectly fine and no problem at all.
Personally though I'd not mess around on a very powerful sports car and I'd want the good rubber of similar tread depth on all 4 corners and would make the change now:

My thoughts:
Best tyres should be on the rear not the front to avoid the rear passing the front under hard braking, albeit the electronics, ABS, etc. will somewhat control it.
4mm left is only 2mm more than the recommended minimum and legal 1.6mm, so assuming 8mm to start they already only 33% remaining.
PZeros don't grip well in the wet and cold at best, so in Winter you're asking for trouble if you decide to use it in any spirited manner
Your previous thread indicated the car came with an odd rated tyre so if that's still on then more reason to get rid
Sell the P Zero's for say £100 the pair. Plenty of people will take them prior to a trade in, etc.

That's about where I was with it tbh. The older Pzero is on the front so that will get ditched as its near the wear blocks.

Out of interest, how many miles has the car done? I'm approaching 20k on my P450 (RWD) after nearly 5 years (collected the car new 1 week before lockdown in 2020!) and the original fronts still have a little over 3mm left on them. Obviously different driving styles will come into play as will the type of roads, but I'm still surprised that the least driven wheels appear to have worn that quickly.
 
When they wore down I replaced my Pirelli rears with PS4Ss and left the Pirelli fronts on until they needed replacing. No issues at all (apart from in the wallet!).

I did the same just before Christmas and no problems on my P450 AWD.

My personal experiences with other cars would encourage me to replace tyres as sets of four. Most of the time, odd mixtures will be fine. Until they are not, at which point, a few hundred quid saved will not feel like a bargain.
 
Taken the easiest route and replaced like with like. Rears had more than I thought and just pointless binning them.
