Maintenance schedule

Hi All<div>We purchased our F type a couple of months ago from a Jaguar dealer. The car is just three years old with 15k on the clock. </div><div>The dealer carried out the recommended 3 yr service & MOT before we drove away. </div><div><br></div><div>I have finally managed to get the service history from the dealer and it would seem that no parts or oil was used on the 3 year service. Is that correct ??</div><div><br></div><div>The previous annual service entries (year 1 & year 2)detail oil & filter, seems strange that this shouldn't be detailed on the 3 year service - Or am I just being a cynic thinking the full service wasn't carried out.</div><div><br></div><div>The maintanence schedule/part replacement doesn't seem to be detailed in the handbook is that right?</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>

How do you reset the "Service due reminder on the F type. I do my own oil changes and 120 miles from nearest dealer. I know there's someone in similar predicament.<br />Thank you in advance

<div><br></div><div>I would guess you can't reset it without the official JLR equipment that only an authorised agent possesses, I doubt any manufacturer would like to make it so simple these days...but I admit I'm wearing my cynical hat whilst typing this and happy to be proven wrong!</div>

You can try this, no idea if it will work:<div><br></div><div>http://seventrumpet.com/turning-off-oil-change-service-indicator-on-2014-jaguar-f-type/</div><div><br></div><div><p style="-sizing: inherit; margin-bottom: 12px; font-size: 14px; margin-top: 0px; color: rgb85, 85, 85; font-family: "Droid Sans", sans-serif;">To turn off the Oil Service Light on 2009, 2010, 2011 Jaguar XF, conform to the following instructions:<span id="ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-134" ="ezoic-adpicker-ad" -ezadpicker="134" -ez--="under_second_paragraph" style="-sizing: inherit;"></span></p><div ="insert-post-ads" style="-sizing: inherit; color: rgb85, 85, 85; font-family: "Droid Sans", sans-serif; font-size: 14px; clear: both; : left; width: 622.275px; margin: 0px 0px 20px;"><span id="ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-127" style="-sizing: inherit;"></span></div><ul style="-sizing: inherit; margin: 1.5em 0px 1.571em 1.9em; list-style: square; padding: 0px; color: rgb85, 85, 85; font-family: "Droid Sans", sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><li style="-sizing: inherit;">Turn ignition switch to <strong style="-sizing: inherit;">ON</strong> position but do not start the engine</li><li style="-sizing: inherit;">Open the hood.</li><li style="-sizing: inherit;">Fully depress and hold the accelerator and brake pedals for 10 seconds.</li><li style="-sizing: inherit;">Turn off the ignition and then restart the engine</li></ul><div><font color="#555555" face="Droid Sans, sans-serif"><span style="font-size: 14px;"><br></span></font></div><div><font color="#555555" face="Droid Sans, sans-serif"><span style="font-size: 14px;">I'll remov</span></font><span style="font-size: 14px; color: rgb85, 85, 85; font-family: "Droid Sans", sans-serif;">e my cynical hat if it works!</span></div></div>

Hi,<div> </div><div>Not sure if this is widely known or how many of you may be affected .... </div><div> </div><div>My Coupe is MY2016 and has just been in for a minor software upgrade. There is apparently a need to do this so that the service indicator operates correctly. All covered under warranty and may be something you want to check so that you don't 'miss' a service and invalidate your warranty.</div><div> </div><div>HTH, Paul</div>

<div><br></div><div>This is only applicable to MY2016 and cars in the following VIN rage: K22185 - K35309.</div><div><br></div><div>It's called service action K405, but if your car needs it, it should already be flagged up on the JLR system so whenever it next sees a dealership, they should apply it even if you don't ask or forget to mention it.</div>

I had this done a few months back - my In Control app said my car needed a service, but the car itself did not. The key thing is to make sure they reset the service indicator afterwards as the patch doesn't do this and In Control still thinks you need a service. Once reset In Control is happy again.
