Main dealer or detailed/specialist?

I noticed that the centre caps on our XE are all aligned with the valves. This would have been done at the factory, as it's never had the tyres off. So perhaps not such an OCD pedant after all!

Yeah, a quick look at (pretty much) any dealer willl demonstrate that's how they like 'em! In fact, when I had my XKR's wheels refurbished the guy lined 'em up "correctly" so it's not just Jaguar pedants who are OCD!

With respect to the locking nut position, I guess the locking nut is lighter than the standard nut? In which case I would put it opposite the valve. Have I said something awful?

For aesthetics, it should look balanced, I doubt the weight makes much difference. And the position of the stud holes will determine whether the nut would go under or over the growler. Under for the carbon fibre wheels, others may have different hole positions. On the carbon fibre wheels there is no hole opposite the valve.

Car looks great.
I was going to get mine detailed but decided to have a go with a DA Polisher. Half a days work on the bonnet and front but happy with the results.. won't be up to the professional standards but quite satisfying to do. :D
